Gloria Swanson, a prominent figure in the silent film era of the 1920s, was known for her outstanding acting career.

She was born on March 27, 1899 in Chicago, Illinois, and was raised in a military family.

As a young schoolgirl, she had a crush on actor Francis X. Bushman, which led to her aunt taking her on a tour of his studio in Chicago.

This chance encounter resulted in a walk-on role as a film extra, launching Swanson’s career in the spotlight.

She quickly rose to fame, working with Keystone Studios, and then being recruited by Paramount, where she signed a seven-year contract.

They had one daughter and adopted a son, but their marriage quickly fell apart, leading to a scandalous divorce in September 1923.

During the production of Madame Sans-Gene, Swanson met and fell in love with Henri, Marquis De La Falaise, who was hired as her translator.

Although he was a Marquis and a relative of the wealthy Hennessy cognac family, he had little wealth of his own.

The couple married in 1925, but this marriage was short-lived, and they divorced in 1929.

Swanson’s fourth marriage was to Michael Farmer, an Englishman, in February 1940, but this marriage also ended in divorce in November 1942.
