James Woods, the Oscar-nominated actor, has decided to retire from acting.

The news of his retirement was announced by his real estate agent, Allen Gammons, who stated that Woods, who is 70 years old, wants to relax and spend more time on his hobbies such as photography, antiquing, and playing poker.

Woods had previously stated that he believes he was blacklisted in Hollywood due to his conservative views.

He switched parties from Democrat to Republican after former President Bill Clinton’s impeachment, which he said was the result of his disgust with the former president.

“Every single #Democrat without exception stood behind a convicted perjurer,” Woods tweeted earlier this year.

The actor, who has been nominated for two Academy Awards and has won three Emmy Awards, has starred in several notable films throughout his career including “Salvador,” “Ghosts of Mississippi,” and “Casino.”

Woods was a beloved figure in Hollywood and a Democrat until 1998 when he broke ranks with the party.

However, his luck in the industry changed for the worse soon after he became a Republican, and he has not had a major role in a film in the past decade.

Woods has previously stated that the blacklist against conservatives in Hollywood is a reality, and many conservative stars choose not to speak up about it.

Woods’ retirement decision is not political, according to Gammons.

The actor’s mother and brother have both passed away recently, which may have contributed to his decision to retire and focus on other things.

Woods recently made headlines after a Twitter feud with actress Amber Tamblyn.

Tamblyn accused Woods of trying to pick her up when she was 16, to which Woods responded by calling it a lie.

Gammons stated that Woods declined to comment on the matter when asked.
