Singer and daughter of the legendary Elvis Presley, Lisa Marie Presley, has passed away at the age of 54.

Her mother, Priscilla Presley, confirmed the tragic news in a statement, which was provided to CNN by a representative.

The statement reads: “Priscilla Presley and the Presley family are shocked and devastated by the tragic death of their beloved Lisa Marie. They are profoundly grateful for the support, love and prayers of everyone, and ask for privacy during this very difficult time.”

According to reports, Lisa Marie Presley was rushed to the hospital earlier in the day, her mother had announced on Instagram.

She said: “Please keep her and our family in your prayers. We feel the prayers from around the world, and ask for privacy during this time.” The news of her hospitalization was first reported by TMZ.

LA County Fire Department spokesperson Kaitlyn Aldana told CNN that emergency responders were dispatched to a call in the 5000 block of Normandy Dr in Agoura Hills, California, at 10:37 am local time for a cardiac arrest.

Aldana did not confirm the name of the patient, due to privacy laws, but said the patient was taken to a local hospital at 11:17 am.

A spokesperson for the LA County Sheriff also confirmed that they assisted fire officials on a medical call that morning, but also did not confirm the patient’s name.

Lisa Marie Presley was most recently seen on Tuesday night at the Golden Globe Awards, where she attended with her mother to support the Baz Luhrmann film “Elvis,” which is about her late father.

The news of her death comes after a difficult period for the Presley family, particularly in 2020, when Lisa Marie’s son, Benjamin Keough, died by suicide at the age of 27.

Last July, Lisa Marie Presley marked the second anniversary of her son’s death on Instagram, sharing a photo of their matching foot tattoos.

In September, she wrote an essay for National Grief Awareness Day, where she opened up about the loss of her son.

She wrote: “My and my three daughters’ lives as we knew it were completely detonated and destroyed by his death. We live in this every. Single. Day. Grief is something you will have to carry with you for the rest of your life, in spite of what certain people or our culture wants us to believe. You do not ‘get over it,’ you do not ‘move on,’ period.”

In her essay, Lisa Marie Presley also shared that she found comfort in the company of people who have faced similar tragedy, and that her daughters help keep her going.

She wrote: “I keep going for my girls. I keep going because my son made it very clear in his final moments that taking care of his little sisters and looking out for them were on the forefront of his concerns and his mind. He absolutely adored them and they him.”

Lisa Marie Presley was previously married to Michael Lockwood, Nicolas Cage, Michael Jackson, and Danny Keough. In addition to her late son, she was the mother of actress Riley Keough, Finley Aaron Love Lockwood and Harper Vivienne Ann Lockwood.

The passing of Lisa Marie Presley is a great loss to the music industry and her family. She was a talented singer in her own right and a constant reminder of the legacy of her father, Elvis Presley.

Her family, friends and fans all over the world mourn her passing and extend their condolences to the Presley family during this difficult time. The Presley family has requested privacy during this difficult time, and we should respect their wish.

Throughout her career, Lisa Marie Presley released several albums, including “To Whom It May Concern” in 2003, “Now What” in 2005, and “Storm & Grace” in 2012.

She also embarked on multiple tours and had a devoted fanbase. In addition to her music career, she also made appearances on various TV shows, including “The Ellen DeGeneres Show” and “Good Morning America”.
