Despite being imprisoned for a variety of crimes, including racketeering and sex trafficking, singer R. Kelly recently chatted with an ecstatic fan on the phone.

Her father is in the same prison as the R&B artist, according to the young woman. Last Friday, when she called her father, he allegedly allowed the American artist to serenade his daughter over the phone.

“R. Kelly did me the favor and [sang] for me because he and my dad are serving time together,” New York City TikTok user @Jizzlezoldykk told The Post. Her identity was verified, but she requested that her name and age not be revealed for privacy reasons.

“[It wasn’t] for any other weird reason,” she said, referring to Kelly’s purported private concert. Kelly was convicted guilty of federal racketeering and sex trafficking crimes in September. He’s being detained at the Metropolitan Detention Center in Brooklyn without bail until his sentencing in May.

The fan stated on Instagram that the event was “not for money or commissary,” according to The Shade Room.

The lady requests a voice she believes is the jailed Grammy winner to regale her with an impromptu rendition of his lesser-known tune “Love Letter” in the now-famous video, which has racked up over 895,000 views on TikTok alone.

The video, titled “when your dad goes to the same prison as R Kelly,” swiftly went viral, and shows the individual on speakerphone with the singer.

“I wanted to ask you something, can you sing a song for me?” she asked Kelly, who replied, “Which one?”

She started to sing before Kelly chimed in with the rest of the lyrics.

Soon after, R. Kelly, 55, whose full name is Robert Sylvester Kelly, began singing the song as well, sending the girl into a frenzy.

“Thank you, thank you!” she exclaims, laughing as the video clip and call come to an end.

Despite the sweetness of the serenade, digital keyboard critics were vehement in their condemnation.

“Letting R. Kelly sing to your daughter from his prison cell is actually crazy,” an enraged Twitter user declared.

Another said, “People don’t hate R. Kelly enough for a child rapist,” referring to the myriad claims of sexual assault against youngsters that have dogged the “Snake” singer for more than three decades.

R Kelly is allegedly being forced to sing by other convicts in return for food and protection, according to some reports. Some others said they could tell he’d been singing since his incarceration by the way he sighed before singing.

R. Kelly is presently incarcerated in a federal prison in Brooklyn, as Radar has reported, awaiting his sentencing after being convicted guilty of nine crimes in September.

Racketeering, sexual exploitation of a minor, kidnapping, bribery, sex trafficking, and a violation of the Mann Act are among the allegations.

When he is sentenced in May, he could face anything from five years to life in jail.

He has recently recruited Bill Cosby’s lawyer and petitioned a court to overturn his convictions, citing problems with his prior legal team and insufficient evidence.
