Jennifer Aniston became a hot topic on Twitter as a result of an embarrassing conversation she had with a British TV program presenter.

The former Friends actress got into a little spat with former soccer player Jermaine Jenas during a visit on Britain’s The One Show this week to promote Season 2 of her Apple TV+ hit, The Morning Show, after a question from his co-host Zoe Ball.

The Friends star, 52, joined fellow actress Reese Witherspoon, 45, on the show via video call.

Jenas asked her about how she dealt with the early morning call times during shooting.

The actress appeared somewhat distracted as she replied: ‘I learned the slow burn that it is. It’s a very vampire state of life and mind that you guys live in. Everybody comes alive in the middle of the night and it’s a slow-moving train.’

She said, ‘I got there at five in the morning and the hallways were quiet and people are just slowly waking up and then all of a sudden, the train starts moving and it gets crazier and crazier. It’s utter chaos.’

“Reese, I’ve got to be honest with you, Jennifer’s pretty much sold it to me that she’s not a morning person,” Jenas said, cutting Aniston off in mid-sentence.

The comment caught Aniston off guard. She looked uncomfortable as she asked, “Did I sell it to you?” Jenas answered, “A little bit, a little bit.”

“Did I get a good deal?”  she shot back.

Despite her discomfort, Witherspoon skillfully carried on the discussion, telling the presenter, “No, I’m definitely a morning person. Jen and I talk about this all the time. I’m the morning person and she’s more of a night person.”

She said, “So, it actually works out because I do kind of the early morning scenes, and then by 4 o’clock I’m toast, and then Jen starts around 11 and 12, and then she can do the night scenes because I can’t even think straight past 4 p.m.”

However, viewers were not blind to the embarrassment as they pointed out the interview on Twitter.

“Am I sensing a wee ‘attitude’ here?” one viewer mentioned, while another added, “Did anyone else catch Jennifer Aniston’s negative reaction to the male presenter regarding the morning person bit? Awkward.”

“She doesn’t like the male presenter at all,” a third person said.

A fourth individual said, “Jennifer Aniston’s ‘tude in this interview is cringe. She keeps on looking to the side awkward #theoneshow.”

However, a lot of people were eager to defend Aniston, saying Jenas shouldn’t have interrupted her.

One user said, “#TheOneShow sorry but I don’t think #JenniferAniston was rude at all and it’s rude to cut someone off when they’re talking, people need to chill,” and another said, “Jermaine dying on his arse trying to interview Jennifer Aniston.”

The Morning Show’s second season, which premieres on Apple TV+ on September 17, continues to follow Alex (Aniston) and Bradley (Witherspoon) in the wake of allegations of sexual misconduct at the fictitious network they both work for.

Aniston said to InStyle that she dreaded conducting promotion for the program in the run-up to the premiere of the new season.

“The work is what I love to do. It’s the promotion of it that creates some stress in me. You get, like, a second of what it is that you’re promoting, and then the rest of it is salacious crap that you somehow got wrangled into talking about.”
