When it comes to dating, Pete Davidson isn’t shy.

The 27-year-old Saturday Night Live comic says that his first line can be “intense and weird,” but he feels that honesty is the best policy when talking to a possible love partner.

“I am just very, very honest. I think what a lot of people do is they try to put on a version of themselves that they would like to be, eventually that will unravel,” he remarked during a recent interview on Power 105.1 FM’s Breakfast Club. “So I just off the top I’m like, ‘Hey, I’m nuts. Here’s all my issues. Here’s what I do. Here’s the therapist. This is what happens.'”

However, he admits that his strategy doesn’t always succeed.

“That could either be a lot for someone or… they could be like, ‘Cool, that’s refreshingly honest.’ Or sometimes it can be a little intense and weird and people can’t handle that stuff,” he explained.

However, when it comes to finding love, the star of “The King of Staten Island” does not believe in “text games” and always opts for honesty.

He admitted: ‘If I’m into you, I’m really into you. [Playing games] just creates this whole anxiety and a lot of stress and there’s enough of that going on. Communication is really key.’

Around the end of March, Pete and Phoebe started sparking rumors. It’s said that the two met while Phoebe was filming Younger in New York. Then came reports that the two had started dating – so much so that Pete flew all the way to the United Kingdom to see Phoebe, who was filming a project there at the time.

While neither has publicly confirmed or denied their relationship status, neither has denied the romance rumors. Pete appeared to reveal that he’s no longer single at a Zoom session with Marquette University students where he was featured as a speaker, adding, “I’m with my celebrity crush.” In addition, people saw them wearing matching necklaces with their initials PD.

Pete was previously associated to Kate Beckinsale, 47, Margaret Qualley, 26, and Kaia Gerber, 19. He was also briefly engaged to Ariana Grande.
