Blake Shelton Thanks Fiancée Gwen Stefani After People’s Choice Award Win
Blake Shelton is thankful for a lot of things, but his new fiancée, Gwen Stefani, is top of the list.
On Sunday, Nov. 15, The Voice coach brought home the prize for Top Country Artist for the second year in a row at the 2020 E! People’s Choice Awards.
The 44-year-old country artist made a joke about Stefani’s enormous fame during his speech, expressing his appreciation to her.
“Wow. This is crazy. This is absolutely insane,” Shelton said. “I’m so happy that we’re able to have this award show in spite of everything.”

He then praised his followers, saying that while he doesn’t “spend a lot of time on social media anymore,” he notices their outpouring of love when he does.

‘And I don’t spend a lot of time on social media anymore, but when I do look at it, all I see is fans retweeting and voting for – lately, for the People’s Choice Awards. Thank you so much.’
Last but not least, Blake had to thank one particular VIP fan before leaving the stage.
“Thank you to my new fiancée, Gwen Stefani,” he said. “That’s S-t-e-f-a-n-i, if you need to Google it to figure out who she is. Thanks for the inspiration and I love you guys, thank you.”
The 51-year-old singer and the 44-year-old country artist announced their engagement on Stefani’s Instagram page on Oct. 27 with a romantic kissing engagement photo.
“@blakeshelton yes please! 💍🙏🏻 gx,” the No Doubt frontwoman captioned the pic.

He shared the same photo on Instagram writing, “Hey @gwenstefani thanks for saving my 2020… And the rest of my life.. I love you. I heard a YES!”
Last year, during his acceptance speech, The Voice coach expressed his thanks for Stefani’s presence in his life.
“I love the s—- out of you, Gwen Stefani,” he said, where Stefani received the Fashion Icon Award.
The “Rich Girl” singer posted Instagram Story videos from the couple’s car as they waited for Shelton to claim his award on Sunday.
‘So basically I have to stay in the car because of COVID,’ she said, ‘but I’m here to support Blake in case he wins.’
Stefani subsequently posted a video of Shelton getting his temperature taken before entering the awards event, while listening to their duet, “Happy Anywhere,” on the radio.
