Melissa Benoist shrugged off Jeb Bush’s recent comments that she is “pretty hot.”

The Republican presidential candidate made the remark during a campaign rally in Las Vegas.

In an interview with “CBS This Morning,” the “Supergirl” star said, “I don’t know what to think about it.”

“I’m glad he’s excited to watch the show,” she said simply.

When a footage of Jeb recounting how he watched a promo for the new CBS show Supergirl while working out at the gym was presented, the action-hero felt a little uneasy.

After almost an hour of serious policy debate, Bush got hit with a softball while speaking at an event in Las Vegas last week:

Bush was amused by the question, but he struggled to come up with an immediate response. And then he dug himself a hole, as he admitted thereafter.

“I like watching the movies. I wish I owned Marvel, as someone that believes in capitalism,” Bush said, speaking at the Libre Forum in North Las Vegas.

“I don’t know,” he said, “I’m kinda old school. I like the old school guys like Batman, a little dark these days.”

But then he went on to explain that he spotted an ad for the new CBS program “Supergirl” which stars Melissa Benoist, a former “Glee” actor.

‘Supergirl is on TV,’ Jeb, 62, remarked. ‘I saw that when I was working out this morning. She looked pretty hot.’

‘I don’t know what channel it’s on,’ he added, ‘but I am looking forward to it.’

“That’ll make news,” he said after pausing to let the audience chuckle.

Melissa addressed a scene in the premiere in which she refuses to wear a sexier costume later in the interview. “That’s not her and that’s not what’s important about her,” she explained.

According to Benoist, the audience for tonight’s series premiere will expand beyond Bush. ““I think everyone would be able to take something from it, but I would really love to reach young girls, and to be a good role model for them.”

The actress made the visit ahead of the show’s October 26 launch on CBS.

Kara Zor-El, Superman’s cousin, was transported from Krypton before its destruction at the age of 12.

She will accept her powers as Kara Danvers at the age of 24, after previously concealing them.

Kara works as an assistant to a character played by Calista Flockhart in the show’s trailer.

When Kara learns on the news that her sister’s flight is in peril, she resolves to abandon her search for normalcy and put her superpowers to the test.
