According to WWE.com, WWE star John Cena was engaged in a vehicle accident in Philadelphia.

Cena’s driver, Jules Anderson, said the collision occurred at 11:30 a.m. when the wrestler was heading westbound on Route 76. According to Anderson, Cena’s SUV was rear-ended by a Honda Civic that had been rear-ended by a tractor trailer.

Cena was not hurt, but he was being examined by a doctor before tonight’s bout, which was scheduled to go through as planned.

“We were doing some early morning media for the event tonight in Philadelphia and we got in a car accident. The Civic was totaled, but no one was hurt, believe it or not.”

Cena is set to face The Rock in a highly anticipated battle at WrestleMania XXVIII in two weeks. According to the article, it’s unknown if Cena will be physically harmed by the automobile accident at Raw on Monday night or during WrestleMania in a few weeks.

While no one was allegedly harmed, Anderson informed WWE that the drivers had an altercation following the collision. Anderson claims the drivers soon calmed down once they learned Cena was his passenger, whether due of Cena’s imposing physique or their passion for wrestling.

During his illustrious career, Cena has won 12 world titles. The football star graduated from Springfield College in 1998, where he was a Division III All-American center.

John Cena Responds To Dave Bautista Comment about Not Working With Him

John Cena has responded to Dave Bautista’s comments about not working with certain WWE stars. When people from the same area venture into the same territory, people are bound to match them, and three people who are no exception to this are Cena, Bautista, and Dwayne ‘The Rock’ Johnson. All three WWE stars have worked on some of Hollywood’s most prestigious franchises.

Dave Batista has previously stated that he does not want to collaborate in films with either John Cena or Dwayne Johnson. He explained in a tweet why he didn’t want to be grouped in with his fellow former WWE Champions turned actors.

Cena, who just returned to the WWE Universe with a match at SummerSlam, was questioned about Dave Bautista’s statements during a recent interview with Esquire, and he said that while he’s disappointed they won’t be working together, he gets where he’s coming from.

“Yeah, man I’m super sad about that because Dave Bautista is an unbelievably gifted actor. He’s done some amazing work. But I think when someone makes a statement like that, I think the important thing is to try and look at things from their perspective. Dave has worked so hard on his craft and he is so dedicated to his characters and really wants to put forth a body of work that gives him his own identity. I 100% understand that.”

“He really just wants to be identified and recognized for his work. And I cannot fault him for that. I applaud him for it. To be brave enough to say something like that kind of allows him to go forth on his own and I appreciate that. I don’t have any beef with Dave and I genuinely think he doesn’t have beef with me.”

Dave has also stated publicly that he does not want to be compared to wrestlers-turned-actors. “Do not compare me to The Rock or John Cena,” he said in an interview with the Tampa Bay Times. “Everyone does it,” Bautista said in 2019, adding that he “hates” being associated with these two. “Those guys are wrestlers who became movie stars. I’m … something else. I was a wrestler. Now, I’m an actor.”

Cena and Batista both began their WWE careers at roughly the same time. Their meteoric climb to the top of the WWE coincided with both of them winning their first World Championships at WrestleMania 21 in 2005. Both of them have subsequently proven to be dependable Hollywood stars.

Dave Bautista has now performed a task in Denis Villeneuve’s Dune. Meanwhile, John Cena will reprise his role as ‘The Suicide Squad’ character in a new collection named ‘Peacemaker,’ penned by James Gunn.
