The state highway patrol said Gene Hackman was hit by a car while riding his bicycle in Islamorada, Florida, on Friday.

The 81-year-old actor “suffered bumps and bruises after a woman bumped him from behind in her vehicle,” according to Hackman’s agent, but he is “fine” and has since been released from the hospital.
