On Saturday, Congresswoman Lauren Boebert took to Twitter to claim that the Pentagon considers her a security threat.

She stated that her information came from a website called TRMLX, which has a history of promoting conspiracy theories about COVID and vaccines.

The Pentagon, however, declined to comment on the matter.

Boebert’s tweet appears to reference a post on the TRMLX website that alleged the Pentagon created a report in February 2021 highlighting social media posts from prominent conservatives as potential “security threats.”

The report, titled “Alternative Social Media Update 06 February 2021 (0600),” contained screenshots of posts from figures like Rep. Marjorie Taylor Greene and retired Lt. Gen. Michael Flynn, among others.

It is worth noting, however, that the TRMLX website is run by anonymous writers and editors who also operate a military meme page called Terminal CWO.

Both sites have been linked to COVID and vaccine conspiracy theories.

For example, Terminal CWO once tweeted that while no children have died from COVID, the vaccine has killed many children, a statement that one of the site’s authors admitted was false.

Danny, an author who used the same pseudonym to write about Boebert being a security threat, told Military Times in 2021 that the claim that the COVID vaccine killed children was an attempt to “troll.”

Danny added that they were “frothing at the bait” and that the comment provoked some angry responses.

The Defense official reached for comment regarding Boebert’s claims stated that they could not confirm the contents of the document or the veracity of those claims.

Boebert’s tweet stated that the Pentagon thinks she is a security threat because she opposes President Biden’s plans for a “woke military.”

However, it is unclear what specific actions or statements Boebert made that would lead the Pentagon to consider her a threat to national security.

Boebert’s tweet has ignited a backlash on social media, with many people expressing their concern that she is spreading baseless conspiracy theories.

Some have also criticized her for using inflammatory language and making unsubstantiated claims without evidence.

Boebert is no stranger to controversy.

The freshman congresswoman has been a vocal critic of COVID restrictions and has called for the impeachment of President Biden.

She has also been accused of promoting QAnon conspiracy theories, which she denies.

It remains to be seen whether this latest controversy will have any lasting impact on Boebert’s political career.
