Piper Laurie, 79, claims in her new memoir “Learning To Live Out Loud” that she lost her virginity to Ronald Reagan when she portrayed his 16-year-old daughter in the 1950 film “Louisa” when she was 18 years old.

Laurie wrote in her memoir that she met Reagan after he divorced actress Jane Wyman but before he began dating his second wife, Nancy Davis.

Piper, best known for playing Paul Newman’s crippled lover in The Hustler 11 years later, states that Reagan, then 39, “was certainly no gentleman between the sheets”.

In 1950, Laurie met Reagan on the set of Louisa, where he played her father. He was 39, divorced, and seemingly a gentleman, since he requested her mother’s permission to take her out on a date.

He allegedly wined and dined Laurie at his home prior to her, well, passing the audition.

From there, things went wrong, especially when they moved into Reagan’s bedroom, when he was a ‘show-off’ who had sex ‘without grace.’

Laurie claims that he discussed his performance afterward, specifically how long it lasted. He reminded her that he had been “ardent” for 40 minutes.

Laurie says that when she expressed her dissatisfaction, she was given short shrift.

‘There’s something wrong with you,’ Reagan said. ‘You should have had many orgasms by now – after all this time. You’ve got to see a doctor.’

“He even told me how much the condom cost,” she continues.

Laurie and Reagan were “very close friends,” according to the movie website imdb.com.

Reagan went on to destroy the New Deal and Great Society policies that established America into a superpower after their affair as president, while Laurie won an Emmy Golden Globe for her role as Catherine Martell in Twin Peaks.

Laurie also discusses how acting helped her find her voice, and how she once tore up a lucrative contract because it only enabled her to perform uninteresting roles as a ‘perky starlet.’

Despite her ups and downs, she earned the respect of her peers and detractors in the end.
