Actress and activist Jane Fonda has issued a sharp warning about climate change, blaming white men and racism for its devastating effects.

Speaking at the Cannes Film Festival, Fonda claimed that we have only seven to eight years to cut our use of fossil fuels in half.

Unfortunately, the people who are least responsible for climate change are being hit the hardest, including those living in the Global South, on islands, and people of color who are poor.

Fonda argued that those responsible for climate change must be arrested and jailed, as they are all men.

Fonda also blamed the patriarchy and the hierarchical mindset that sees white men at the top for climate change.

She stated that there would be no climate crisis if there was no racism or patriarchy.

The 85-year-old actress, known for her activism since the Vietnam War, urged everyone to rally around environmental justice, saying that feminists and environmentalists must work together.

Fonda has been arrested several times while participating in climate change protests and has consistently connected climate change to social injustice.

She believes that everything, including sexism, racism, misogyny, homophobia, and war, is related.

In an interview with “The Kelly Clarkson Show,” she argued that there would be no climate crisis if it wasn’t for racism, claiming that the poor and indigenous people and people of color are always the ones to suffer from pollution.

Fonda called for “all hands on deck” as the climate emergency continues.

She explained that she loves animals and nature and that if we don’t act urgently, we will destroy them all.

Fonda urged everyone to join the movement to fight climate change and prevent further damage to the environment.

The “Book Club: The Next Chapter” actress received criticism during the Vietnam War for posing on a North Vietnamese anti-aircraft gun that made it seem like she would shoot down US planes.

Despite the backlash, Fonda has continued her activism and has become a leading voice in the climate change movement.

In conclusion, Fonda’s call for the arrest and jailing of those responsible for climate change has sparked controversy and debate.

Her insistence that racism and patriarchy are the root causes of climate change has also been met with skepticism.

However, Fonda remains committed to her cause and urges everyone to take urgent action before it’s too late.
