The internet is a place where one can find all sorts of things, including depravity and distastefulness.

However, it seems that few people can match the level of vileness displayed by an individual who decided to post a piece of the headlight assembly from the Porsche Carrera GT that Paul Walker died in on Craigslist.

The person behind the post is asking for a whopping $75,000 for the morbid item.

According to the post, the individual claims to have personally recovered all the items from the crash site on the night the accident happened.

They further stated that all the items were picked up after the police had allowed the general public access to the area and removed the yellow tape.

It’s worth noting that Paul Walker died while riding in a 2005 Carrera GT with a friend in Valencia, California, on November 30, 2013.

Along with the headlight, the seller also picked up other pieces from the accident, including “a piece of the door,” “some miscellaneous pieces including a molten rod from the burnt metal filled with asphalt” and “carbon fiber from the vehicle.”

One can only wonder how anyone could rummage around the area of another person’s death, steal pieces from the crash, hold onto them for nearly ten years, and then attempt to sell them on Craigslist for such a high price.

It’s beyond comprehension how someone could be so callous.

It’s difficult to fathom how someone could stoop this low.

The fact that this person has held onto these pieces for nearly a decade is even more disturbing.

To profit from someone else’s tragedy is truly disgusting.

Jalopnik has reached out to Craigslist for a comment on the matter and will update the article if and when they receive a response.

It’s unclear what Craigslist’s policy is regarding the sale of items like these.
