Chris Hemsworth, the Australian actor who is famous for his role as Thor in the Marvel Cinematic Universe, has reportedly forbidden his wife Elsa Pataky from posing nvde for Playboy magazine.
Pataky, a Spanish actress, who has three children with Hemsworth, including two three-month-old twins, was allegedly keen to show off her post-baby body in the magazine.
However, Hemsworth deemed it “inappropriate” for her to do so, given the ages of their children.
A source told Star magazine, “She said it would be a great career move, but Chris wanted nothing to do with the conversation. He said it would be inappropriate for a woman with such young children to pose n/ked.”
Pataky, who has managed to regain her pre-pregnancy figure after the birth of her twins, previously revealed that she had not rushed back to the gym after giving birth because a postpartum physiotherapist had advised her against it.
She said, “In my case a specialised post partum physiotherapist recommended not to work my abs until they were totally joined again.”
According to Pataky, the separation of the abdominal muscles during pregnancy requires a significant amount of time to heal.
She added, “So you have to wait for your abs to return to its initial position before you start doing ab work, or otherwise there may be a lump, like a belly that never goes away.”
Instead of working out at the gym, Pataky has been using healthy juices to help her lose weight.
She shared one of her favourite recipes, saying, “The juice I like to drink once in a while and that helps me to clean my system is made with a blender: an apple, a carrot, some celery with the green leaves, a lemon without peel. Once it’s done, you add a few teaspoons of olive oil. Super good.”
It is not the first time Hemsworth has expressed reservations about his wife posing for revealing photos.
In 2015, he reportedly forbade Pataky from taking part in a “nvde meditation” class in Los Angeles.
Hemsworth and Pataky have been married since 2010 and are known for their loving and supportive relationship.
They often share pictures of their family on social media and have spoken in interviews about their dedication to one another.
In a 2018 interview with GQ Australia, Hemsworth said of his wife, “My wife and I fell in love, had kids, didn’t really see each other for a few years, then fell back in love.”
He continued, “In terms of work, she’s certainly given up more than I have. She’d like me to step back and be at home with the kids more, and of course, I want that too. But I feel like I’m at this crucial point in my career, I’ve just got to set up for longevity or I’ll slip off.”
Hemsworth and Pataky live in Byron Bay, Australia, with their children.
The family is known for their love of the outdoors and often spend time surfing, hiking and exploring the local area.
Despite Hemsworth’s ban on her posing for Playboy, Pataky has previously appeared in revealing photoshoots for other publications, including Women’s Health Australia and Hola! magazine.
In a 2019 interview with Women’s Health, Pataky revealed that she had to work hard to regain her pre-pregnancy body after the birth of her twins.
She said, “It wasn’t easy to get back into shape after the twins. I had to really work hard, eat well, and be consistent with my exercise routine.”
Pataky also shared that she had made changes to her diet and lifestyle, saying, “I eat a lot of protein, vegetables, and some fruit. I try to eat organic and cook at home as much as possible.”
She added, “I also like to do activities that involve the whole family, like hiking or surfing. It’s a great way to stay active and have fun together.”
Pataky, who has also worked as a model and film producer, has been open about the challenges of balancing motherhood and her career.
In a 2018 interview with Harper’s Bazaar Australia, she said, “I have so much respect for women who have a career and raise a family. It’s not easy, but it’s worth it.”
She added, “For me, it’s all about finding a balance. I try to prioritise my family and spend as much time with them as possible, but I also love my work and want to continue to pursue my passions.”
Hemsworth and Pataky are often seen supporting each other at events and on social media.
In 2019, Pataky shared a heartfelt message on Instagram to celebrate her husband’s 36th birthday, writing, “Happy birthday to my beautiful, loving husband. You make everyday an adventure. I love you to the moon and back.”
Hemsworth has also spoken about the importance of family in his life.
