Emilia Clarke is being asked to strip again on screen

Emilia Clarke, who is best known for her role as Daenerys Targaryen in the hit show ‘Game Of Thrones’ has revealed that she has been asked to film several n/de scenes in other projects.

Despite having filmed explicit scenes in ‘GOT’, the actress admits that she is not comfortable filming similar scenes in other projects, but several filmmakers and series creators are unable to imagine Clarke in any other kind of roles.

One even suggested that she would be letting ‘Thrones’ fans down if she didn’t bare it all.

Clarke shared this information on a recent episode of Dax Shepard’s ‘Armchair Expert’ podcast.

“I’m a lot more savvy about what I’m comfortable with, and what I am okay with doing,” Clarke said, “I’ve had fights on set before where I’m like, ‘No, sheet stays up,’ and they’re like, ‘You don’t wanna disappoint your Game of Thrones fans.’ And I’m like, ‘F*** you.'”

Clarke admitted that she had initially agreed to n/d^ty on ‘GOT’ because she was an inexperienced 23-year-old actress fresh out of drama school.

“I’m floating through this first season and I have no idea what I’m doing; I have no idea what any of this is,” she said.

“I’ve never been on a film set like this before.”

“I’d been on a film set twice before then, and I’m now on a film set completely n/ked with all of these people, and I don’t know what I’m meant to do, and I don’t know what’s expected of me, and I don’t know what you want, and I don’t know what I want.”

However, Clarke appreciated co-star Jason Mamoa (who played her husband Khal Drogo) for being protective of her on the set and teaching her to set boundaries for herself.

“He took care of me too, in an environment where I didn’t know I needed to be taken care of,” Clarke said.

“He was an experienced actor who had done a bunch of stuff before coming onto this.

“He was like, ‘Sweetie, this is how it’s meant to be and this is how it’s not meant to be and I’m going to make sure that that’s the f***ing case.’ So he was always like, ‘Can we get her a f***ing robe?”

Clarke’s experience is a common one in Hollywood.

Many actresses have spoken out about being pressured to film n/de scenes and being given the impression that it is essential for their career.

Earlier this year, actress Evan Rachel Wood shared a tweet saying, “The pressure to do n/de scenes… it has become expected of many actresses, not just in the movies but on TV (shows directed by men mostly), and it’s f***ing weird.”

Despite the pressure, many actresses have taken a stand against it.

In 2017, actress Emma Watson refused to wear a corset in the film ‘Beauty and the Beast’ and made it clear that she would not be filming any n/de scenes.

Similarly, actress Keira Knightley has spoken out against the pressure to film n/de scenes, saying that she is “too vain” to expose herself on screen.

Clarke’s experience is a reminder that despite the progress made in Hollywood, actresses still face immense pressure to conform to certain expectations.

However, by speaking out about her experiences, she is helping to create a more open and honest conversation about the issue.

Clarke’s revelations come as the actress prepares to star in Marvel’s ‘Secret Invasion’ series for Disney+.

In the series, she will play a new character that has not been revealed yet.

Clarke’s role in ‘Game of Thrones’ was a defining one for her career, and it will be interesting to see how she navigates her post-‘GOT’ career.

Clarke has been open about her desire to move on from her ‘GOT’ role and explore new opportunities.

“I really want to be a person who can do anything,” she told Vanity Fair in 2018.

“So that’s a big challenge.” With her upcoming role in ‘Secret Invasion,’ Clarke is proving that she is more than capable of taking on new challenges and expanding her range as an actress.

Clarke has also expressed her desire to work on a ‘GOT’ prequel series, saying that she would be “so down” to return to the world of Westeros.

However, the prequel series, ‘House of the Dragon,’ will not feature her character.

The new series will be set 300 years before the events of ‘GOT’ and will focus on House Targaryen.
