Ben Affleck and Jennifer Garner were spotted in a heated argument, just hours after it was reported that Affleck and his girlfriend Jennifer Lopez had purchased a $50 million home together in the Bel-Air neighborhood of Los Angeles.
Photos obtained by the Daily Mail show Affleck and Garner in what appears to be a tense conversation outside of her car on the streets of Los Angeles.
During their argument, Affleck was seen puffing on a cigarette and appearing agitated, while Garner seemed to remain calm and let him do most of the talking.
The paparazzi captured the entire exchange, and the photos show Affleck getting frustrated at one point during the conversation.
This is not the first time the ex-couple has had a public altercation.
They were also seen arguing in front of photographers last year.
However, Garner did not seem rattled by the exchange, and kept it casual in a long denim skirt and beige-toned sweater with a pair of $800 Gucci sneakers.
Affleck shares three children with Garner, daughters Violet, 16, and Seraphina, 13, and son Samuel, 10.
Meanwhile, Lopez has two children, twins Emme and Max, from her previous marriage to Marc Anthony.
The couple has been working on blending their families and the purchase of their new home in Bel-Air suggests that they are getting “walk down the aisle-type serious.”
Affleck and Lopez rekindled their relationship in April 2021 after Lopez ended her engagement to Alex Rodriguez.
They have been inseparable ever since, and their new home is big enough for their combined families.
The 20,000 square foot mansion is located in the ritzy Bel-Air neighborhood and has enough space for all five of their children.
The timing of Affleck and Garner’s argument, which occurred just hours after the news of the couple’s new home purchase broke, was interesting.
The purchase seems to signify that Affleck and Lopez are taking their relationship to the next level.
Although the couple has not announced any wedding plans, many believe that a wedding may be on the horizon.
The purchase of such a lavish home indicates a serious commitment to each other and their families.
Affleck has been open about his struggles with addiction and has been in and out of rehab over the years.
However, his relationship with Lopez seems to be a positive influence on him.
In an interview with The Hollywood Reporter, Affleck credited Lopez with helping him stay sober and said, “I’m in a really nice place.”
Meanwhile, Garner has been focusing on her acting career and her children.
She recently starred in the Netflix movie Yes Day and has several other projects in the works.
Despite their divorce, Affleck and Garner have remained friendly and committed to co-parenting their children.
In an interview with People, Garner said, “We are definitely a modern family. We’re doing really well.”
She also praised Affleck’s parenting skills, saying, “He’s involved in the kids’ lives. He’s wonderful. He’s a great dad.”
