The list of actresses and women in Hollywood accusing Harvey Weinstein of sexual assault continues to grow, with Angelina Jolie now sharing her own experience.

In a recent interview with The New York Times, Jolie revealed that Weinstein made unwelcome sexual advances towards her in a hotel room during the promotion of her film Playing By Heart in the late 1990s.

After rejecting his advances, Jolie vowed never to collaborate with him again.

Jolie stated in an email to The Times, “I had a bad experience with Harvey Weinstein in my youth, and as a result, chose never to work with him again and warn others when they did. This behavior towards women in any field, any country is unacceptable.”

Gwyneth Paltrow also disclosed her encounter with Weinstein’s sexual harassment in the same Times article.

She was 22 when Weinstein allegedly harassed her in a hotel room. Paltrow was dating Brad Pitt at the time and confided in him about the incident.

Pitt later confronted Weinstein at a film premiere, demanding that he never touch Paltrow again. This account was confirmed by Pitt’s representative to The New York Times.

A source also verified Paltrow and Pitt’s story to E! News, stating, “Brad strongly confronted Harvey and told him repeatedly that it had better never happen again.”

Paltrow claimed that after Pitt’s confrontation with Weinstein, she was warned not to disclose the incident to anyone else, so she remained silent to protect her career.

Paltrow and Jolie are among the latest women to accuse Weinstein of sexual misconduct.

In a New Yorker exposé by Ronan Farrow, numerous actresses shared their experiences with Weinstein—over 11 women alleged unwanted sexual advances or touching, while three claimed they were raped by him.

Sallie Hofmeister, Weinstein’s spokeswoman, issued a statement in response to the allegations:

“Any allegations of non-consensual sex are unequivocally denied by Mr. Weinstein.

“Mr. Weinstein has further confirmed that there were never any acts of retaliation against any women for refusing his advances.

“He will not be available for further comments, as he is taking the time to focus on his family, on getting counseling and rebuilding his life.”
