Kristen Stewart has reportedly decided not to attend the UK premiere of her new film “On The Road” due to shame over her recent cheating scandal.

Stewart, who plays the character Marylou in the film, was originally set to attend the premiere at London’s Somerset House. However, a source told RadarOnline that Stewart “won’t be doing the red carpet for On The Road – she’s too ashamed to show her face in public right now.”

The source also revealed that Stewart is worried about posing on the red carpet with co-star Tom Sturridge, who is best friends with her ex-boyfriend Robert Pattinson.

“There’s also the dilemma of standing next to her co-star in the movie, Tom Sturridge,” the source said. “He’s very close to Rob and Kristen thinks it would be awkward for her to promote the movie on the red carpet alongside him.”

Despite the personal scandal, Stewart is reportedly still very proud of her work on “On The Road” and does not want it to be overshadowed.

“She wants her performance and this film to be recognized for what it is – a great adaptation of a classic book,” the insider said.

Stewart has also reportedly dropped out of the film “Cali” and will only act as the movie’s producer. It is not clear why she decided to leave the project, but according to Gossip Cop, the “Rum Diary” star Amber Heard has been approached to replace Stewart in the lead role.

“Cali” is a gritty thriller that follows a couple as they sell a fake snuff film. It will be directed by Nick Cassavetes and is expected to be released in the coming years.

Stewart’s decision not to attend the premiere of “On The Road” comes as no surprise given the recent revelations about her personal life.

Stewart, who rose to fame for her role as Bella Swan in the “Twilight” franchise, was caught cheating on Pattinson with “Snow White and the Huntsman” director Rupert Sanders.

The scandal made headlines around the world and resulted in the couple’s highly publicized break-up. Pattinson has since moved on and is rumored to be dating singer FKA Twigs, while Stewart has stayed out of the public eye.

Stewart’s performance in “On The Road” has received mixed reviews from critics. The film, which is based on the novel by Jack Kerouac, follows a group of friends as they travel across America during the post-World War II era.

Stewart’s character, Marylou, is a free-spirited young woman who becomes the love interest of the main character, Sal Paradise, played by Sam Riley.

Despite her personal scandal, Stewart is still considered to be one of the most talented actresses of her generation and is expected to continue to have a successful career in Hollywood.

In addition to “On The Road” and “Cali,” Stewart has several other projects in the works. She is set to star in the films “Camp X-Ray” and “Anesthesia” and is also attached to a yet-to-be-titled drama directed by Kelly Reichardt.

It remains to be seen how Stewart’s recent scandal will affect her future projects, but for now she seems focused on moving forward and continuing to work on her acting career.
