Believe it or not, 2022 is quickly approaching, and Kim Kardashian’s lover, Staten Island King Pete Davidson, has already scheduled his next big gig. The comedian and actress will appear with Miley Cyrus on NBC’s Miley’s New Year’s Eve Party on December 31. The show will take the place of NBC’s New Year’s Eve special, which Carson Daly hosted and produced from 2004 until last year.

The program will be shown live on NBC from Miami, FL on Friday, December 31 from 10:30 p.m. to 12:30 a.m. ET, and will also be streamed live on Peacock. TBA at a later date, NBC promises “a star-studded lineup of special guests and musical performances for a must watch evening.”

There has been no news on whether recent SNL host Kim Kardashian West, who is presently dating Davidson, will be one of those “special guests.”

“In what is sure to be an exciting and fun evening, we are looking forward to partnering with Lorne Michaels and ringing in 2022 with a night of incredible entertainment, led by Miley and Pete,” said NBCUniversal executive vice president of live events, specials, and E! News Jen Neal in a statement.

Cyrus and Davidson have worked together on Saturday Night Live throughout the years and will be under pressure to make the show’s premiere a success. They are competing against shows like Dick Clark’s New Year’s Rockin’ Eve With Ryan Seacrest, which draws fantastic ratings year after year, according to DailyMail.

Miley’s New Year’s Eve Party Hosted By Miley Cyrus and Pete Davidson is executive produced by Michaels, Cyrus and Lindsay Shookus. It is produced by Den of Thieves with Executive Producers Jesse Ignjatovic, Evan Prager and Barb Bialkowski. Hopetown Entertainment, Miley and Tish Cyrus’ production firm, is also involved. Joe DeMaio is the director.

Meanwhile, the pop artist will resume touring in the next year, despite the impact of the coronavirus epidemic on all things live music. She’s already set to headline the 2022 Super Bowl Music Fest, as well as the Argentinian and Brazilian editions of Lollapalooza, with Foo Fighters, The Strokes, Doja Cat, A$AP Rocky, and Martin Garrix.
