Kim Kardashian enjoyed at least two date nights with Saturday Night Live actor Pete Davidson while in New York last week. Kardashian’s inner circle has encouraged her to explore the relationship, according to a source who spoke to Us Weekly on Saturday.

“One of the first things Kim did was to get her family and friends’ advice, and they all encouraged her to go for it,” the source said. “It’s been very obvious for a while now that she’s been missing some fun and laughter in her life, and of course Pete offers that in abundance.”

Kim likes the comedy actor because he’s ‘witty and laid back,’ which might be a contrast to her estranged husband Kanye West’s hard-charging lifestyle.

The source continued, ‘It’s so refreshing for Kim to be dating someone who’s almost the total opposite of her previous relationships. Pete’s just chill and doesn’t sweat the small stuff at all, which Kim finds really sexy.’

Kardashian and Davidson were photographed holding hands on the rollercoaster at Knott’s Scary Farm shortly before Halloween in October, joined by Kim’s sister Kourtney Kardashian and her fiancé, Travis Barker. Barker and Davidson are friends, and it was first assumed that Kardashian and Davidson were as well.

Amid all the handholding, kissing, and joking, Kanye West appears to be unhappy with the situation. He recently stated that he has not received the divorce papers and that his ex-wife’s inner circle is pressuring her to want “a new wedding, a new episode, a new TV show.” However, a source told Us Weekly that her family and friends are also being cautious about the King of Staten Island actor.

“People are happy for Kim, but at the same time they’re urging her not to get too carried away or ahead of herself,” the source said. “Pete has this heartbreaker reputation for a reason, and while his intentions might be honorable, there’s a slight fear that Kim could be setting herself up for a vulnerable situation.”

Pete’s reputation is built on a string of short-lived relationships with well-known women.

Davidson was previously linked to “Bridgerton” actress Phoebe Dynevor, but the two separated during the summer. With Davidson working in New York and Dynevor filming across the pond, their long-distance romance was expected to be difficult. Although it’s unclear how serious Dynevor and Davidson were, he seemed to have moved on from her at this time. One might even claim that these days, Davidson only has eyes for Kardashian.

Kardashian is still at odds with West, with whom she has four children and who appears to support one another in their artistic activities. West is said to want Kardashian back. After reports of her relationship with Davidson arose this week, he unfollowed her on Instagram.
