Ye is in a generous mood – and also optimistic about his future with his wife Kim Kardashian. He is now saying that God will bring them back together and inspire millions of other families to do the same.

On Wednesday, the musician previously known as Kanye West spoke about his estranged wife Kim Kardashian and their four children at the Los Angeles Mission’s Annual Thanksgiving ceremony.

‘The narrative God wants is to see that we can be redeemed in all these relationships,’ the Grammy-winner said, according to Page Six. ‘We’ve made mistakes. I’ve made mistakes.’

He continued: ‘I’ve publicly done things that were not acceptable as a husband, but right now today, for whatever reason – I didn’t know I was going to be in front of this mic – but I’m here to change the narrative. I’m not letting E! write the narrative of my family. I’m not letting Hulu write the narrative of my family … I am the priest of my home.”

West, who has four children with Kardashian – North, eight, Saint, five, Chicago, three, and Psalm, two – said that parenting is his first focus despite the turmoil.

‘I have to be next to my children as much as possible,’ he said. ‘So, when I’m out the house, I’ve got a house right next to the house. I’m doing everything to be right next to the situation.’

He added: “I’m trying to express this in the most sane way, the most calm way possible, but I need to be back home.”

“If the enemy can separate Kimye, there’s going to be millions of families that feel like that separation is ok,” the rapper said. “But when God brings Kimye together, there’s going to be millions of families that are going to be influenced to see that they can overcome the work of the separation, of trauma the devil has used to capitalise to keep people in misery while people step over homeless people to go to the Gucci store.”

Kardashian filed for divorce nine months ago, citing irreconcilable differences. The 41-year-old reality star is reported to be dating Saturday Night Live comedian Pete Davidson, however neither of them has confirmed their relationship status.

Kim was recently seen having dinner with Pete Davidson in Santa Monica. They got a private table, and Davidson seemed to have a hickey on his neck.

“Pete has told her he doesn’t want to see anyone else,” a source told E! said, adding that the feeling is mutual. “[Kardashian] is telling some people they aren’t super serious but she isn’t seeing anyone else … She’s trying to not make a big deal about it but is super into him.”

Since Kim filed for divorce in February, Kanye has been linked to Irina Shayk and Vinetria, a 22-year-old model.
