After announcing his new position with News UK earlier this week, Piers Morgan reignited his rivalry with Meghan Markle.

Outspoken Piers Morgan says his new job is the “stuff of nightmares” for Meghan Markle.

The brazen TV personality has landed a new 60-minute worldwide discussion show that will run in the United Kingdom, the United States, and Australia.

The 56-year-old warned Meghan that his new job would be “stuff of nightmares” while speaking at the Scarsdale Tavern in Kensington, where he met Meghan in 2016.

Piers said: “And I need to say a special thank you to Meghan. As we sit drinking now, it was five years ago that I met her here.

“And I bet she was sitting there celebrating my departure from Good Morning Britian so this move will be the stuff of nightmares for her. So, cheers Meghan”

Piers announced his return to News Corps, putting an end to speculation over his first post-GMB employment.

He promised a “fearless forum for lively debate.”

Piers began his Fleet Street career in 1988 with The Sun.

Piers said: “I’m thrilled to be returning to News Corp, which is where I began my media career more than 30 years ago.

“Rupert Murdoch has been a constant and fearless champion of free speech and we are going to be building something new and very exciting together.

“I want my global show to be a fearless forum for lively debate and agenda-setting interviews, and a place that celebrates the right of everyone to have an opinion, and for those opinions to be vigorously examined and challenged.

“I’m also delighted to become a columnist for The Sun and the New York Post, two brilliantly successful and popular newspaper brands.

“I’m going home and we’re going to have some fun.”

Piers stepped things up a level when Meghan and Harry sat down with Oprah Winfrey for their tell-all about life in the Royal family in March 2021.

Soon after, he was engaged in an on-air spat with Alex Beresford, and he stormed off the set.

Despite his rather unusual departure from GMB, the TV host still has the full support of his former colleagues, with members of the ITV team congratulating him on his new position.

“Well done to him, he’s raising a celebratory pint there,” journalist Charlotte Hawkins commented beside photos of her former co-star.

“My ears, my eyes, a global deal!” Richard Arnold congratulated Piers on his new position.

“Just when we were going to have a whip-round to make sure he could have a bird at the table at Christmas,” he joked.
