Harry will help Meghan ‘do a lot of the groundwork’ to launch political career

Meghan Markle’s foray into politics has been widely anticipated, but she made news again when she met with California’s Democratic governor in an “introductory” meeting. The Duchess of Sussex would be expected to stay politically neutral as a member of the Royal Family, since the monarchy has historically attempted to avoid wielding power over the British people. Meghan now has the freedom to pursue other professional choices following her retirement as a working royal, and sources say politics has always been on the table.

Neil Sean, a royal journalist for NBC News, believes Harry will play a key role in Meghan’s political transition.

“This is a woman who only got 200 people to download that very woke poem, which was attached of course to her 40×40 incentive when she allegedly had a 40th birthday, and you do think to yourself, if you cant get that,” he remarked.

“Whether you liked President Trump or not, he was popular, he did get the votes.

“When she had the opportunity to meet with him in London, she passed on that and lumped it to Prince Harry. So the only way that she could try and get some popularity moving into politics, would be to get him to do a lot of the groundwork.”

“And possibly he will do, he is still liked in certain areas, but this of course is coming from a woman that wanted to remain private and choose a different life.”

Archewell Productions, the production company founded by the Duke and Duchess of Sussex, has just added Nishika Kumble to its roster. Kumble will “lead all scripted television productions and work closely with Netflix to product entertaining content from diverse voices that informs, elevates, and inspires,” according to Archewell. Senior vice president of scripted TV will be her title.

In her new position, the California native is well-qualified. She formerly worked at Rashida Jones and Will McCormack’s Le Train Productions as vice president of development and production. She oversaw the company’s TV productions throughout her time there, working on series including AMC’s “Kevin Can F**k Himself” and Quibi’s “Centerpiece.”

Ben Browning, Archewell’s Head of Content, will be Nishika’s boss.

The appointment comes almost a year after Prince Harry and Meghan Markle launched a $150 million partnership with Netflix to give ‘hope and inspiration,’ according to industry sources.

She also worked for Noah Hawley’s FX production firm, 26 Keys, as a director of development. She was a producer on “Fargo” and “Legion” for numerous seasons. She also worked in the written TV department of the independent Studio Entertainment One.

Chanel Pysnik as Head of Unscripted and Rebecca Sananes as Head of Audio are two more new additions to Harry and Meghan’s Archewell team.

Meghan and Harry revealed in January that they had hired producer Mr Browning to oversee their film and television goals in the United States, just days after their shocking two-hour Oprah Winfrey special.

Since launching Archewell Productions in 2020, Prince Harry and Meghan Markle have revealed two projects as part of their Netflix contract. The first is “Heart of Invictus,” a Harry-produced docuseries that follows participants as they prepare for the rescheduled Invictus Games in The Hague in 2022. The second is “Pearl” an animated series executive-produced by the duchess that follows the exploits of a 12-year-old girl who is inspired by historical figures.

According to a statement from the organization, “Archewell Productions was founded by The Duke and Duchess of Sussex in 2020 to produce programming that uplifts and entertains audiences around the world by embracing our shared humanity and building community through similar experiences, powerful narratives, and universal values.”

Last week, the Duchess released a delightful video with Melissa McCarthy to celebrate her 40th birthday and start her 40×40 project.

Meghan is asking individuals all across the world to pledge 40 minutes of their time to help women returning to work.
