Are Prince Harry and Meghan Markle Selling Their $14M Montecito Mansion?

There are rumors that Meghan Markle and Prince Harry have listed their home and are seeking to relocate. That is not the case, though. It appears that the uncertainty regarding them placing their house on the market originates from when their next-door neighbor put his house on the market.

The New York Post said that the 16,668 square foot property next to the duke and duchess’s home went on the market earlier this year for $22 million. Built in 1999, the house includes seven bedrooms and 13 bathrooms, as well as an eight-car subterranean auto gallery and a two-bay chauffeurs garage with security offices on the above floor. The home has the same stunning views as Meghan and Harry’s residence.

The Montecito property next door to Prince Harry and Meghan Markle’s is on sale for $22 million.

On January 19th, a seven-bedroom, 13-bathroom house in the state’s Montecito district went on the market, just a short distance from the mansion where the Duke and Duchess of Sussex presently reside.

The property is a vast 16,668 square feet and stands on 5.56 acres of land.

According to local news site Noozhawk, it was once the residence of actor Rob Lowe.

Following Oprah’s explosive interview with Prince Harry and Meghan Markle, more offers on the estate are likely.

After confessing she had been left suicidal while living as a senior royal in the UK, Meghan told the talk show host, who also happens to be a neighbor, that their relocation to California was “greater than any fairytale you’ve ever read.”

The adjacent property, like Harry and Meghan’s, has beach and mountain vistas and is surrounded by luscious lawns, citrus trees, luxuriant gardens, streams, and bridges.

The house, which was built in 1999, has undergone extensive restorations from its original English rural architectural structure to more modern and luxurious upgrades by Van Acker Construction.

The Chateau, which is 14,563 square feet and situated on 5.4 acres of ground, is surrounded by neatly manicured hedges and stone-pillared entry gates.

Two separate one-bedroom guesthouses, a dedicated professional gym, and separate staff laundry/restrooms/break room facilities are among the home’s other amenities.

On the upper level, there’s an eight-car underground vehicle gallery, two-bay garages, and three staff and security offices.

According to Zillow, the property’s entry opens into a wide road paved with hand-cut Santa Barbara Stone that leads to the main home through a magnificent archway of trees.

Other celebrities that live in the affluent gated community include Gwyneth Paltrow and power couple Ellen DeGeneres and Portia de Rossi.

The Duke and Duchess of Sussex paid $14.65 million for their 18,000-square-foot home in August, barely seven months after announcing their decision to stand down as senior royals.

The couple announced their second pregnancy in the show, after accusing an anonymous member of the Royal Family of expressing ‘concerns’ about ‘how black’ Archie’s complexion would be before he was born. Oprah subsequently stated that Harry had confirmed that neither the Duke of Edinburgh nor the Queen had made the remark.
