Heidi Montag and Spencer Pratt are hoping to expand their family of three by having another child.

The Hills: New Beginnings stars, who already have a 3-year-old son named Gunner Stone, went on PeopleTV’s Reality Check Wednesday and announced that they are trying for a second child.

Spencer told PeopleTV’s Reality Check, “No spoiler alerts but no baby yet.

‘Still working as hard as possible at it,’ Pratt, 37, said when questioned about the couple’s desire to extend their family.

Pratt says that neither he nor Montag, 34, expected having a second child to be “be this challenging.”

“We tried different lifestyles and everything we could think of,” Spencer explained. “So yeah, we’re still working on that one.”

In February, the reality TV starlet responded to speculations that she was expecting by tweeting, “No I am not pregnant yet. Just a little overweight.

Montag earlier stated in October 2019 that she and Pratt were “thinking about” giving their son, who turned two at the time, a sibling. She cryptically stated on Twitter, “Thinking about baby #2 … ”

‘A psychic did tell us we’re gonna have twins, so watch out Mary-Kate and Ashley!’ Spencer told E! in July 2018 that he and his wife were thinking of having another baby ‘next year.’

‘I’d love a girl or a boy. ”

‘I love having a son. It’s so much fun. So if we have another boy, we’ll probably have three [kids],’ Heidi said at the time.

For Mother’s Day, Pratt paid tribute to the mother of one on Instagram, calling her the “best mom you could dream of being.”

Stephanie Pratt joked on social media that her famous sister-in-law looked pregnant when sharing a swimsuit photo of Heidi on her Instagram Story, and the two are still coping with the fallout.

Stephanie posted a photo of the star walking on a beach in a lime green two-piece, Stephanie wrote: ‘Yay Heidi’s pregnant!! I hope she has a little girl this time! Cute bump.’

The pregnancy rumors were soon debunked, with Spencer criticizing Stephanie for fat shaming Heidi.
