Hailey Bieber is out here showing that she and Selena Gomez don’t have a dispute. The model expressed support for her husband’s ex-girlfriend on Instagram, and fans all around the world took note.

The model, 24, liked an Instagram picture from ELLE Magazine, which featured Gomez, 29, as the September issue’s cover star.

By praising Selena Gomez’s latest achievements, Hailey Bieber showed that she and the singer are still on good terms.

Sel looks stunning in the magazine, sporting a Marilyn Monroe-style blonde haircut and black fishnets.

While the Instagram like is a little gesture, it might be a clue to Gomez’s connection with Baldwin, who married Justin Bieber in 2018. Gomez and Bieber began dating in 2011 and dated on and off until 2017, when they finally called it quits.

On Thursday, August 19, the magazine’s Instagram account posted numerous images of the singer with the comment, “After several rocky years battling health issues and heartbreak, @SelenaGomez has come into her own spiritually and creatively.”

Hailey has a history of liking Gomez pictures on occasion. She last liked a photo of Gomez when she was on the cover of Vogue in March 2021.

Fans and the media have been pitting Hailey and Selena against one other for years, pretty much since Hailey and Justin reunited in 2018, not long after Selena terminated her relationship with him for the last time. Over the years, both ladies have seemed to establish that there is no bad blood between them. Following the release of her song “Lose You to Love Me,” which many felt was about Justin, many people assumed Hailey was threatening Selena when she shared an Instagram story with the Summer Walker song “I’ll Kill You.” Hailey later denied the threat, calling it “complete BS,” and Selena also spoke out, saying, “I will never stand for women tearing other women down.

This public display of solidarity comes after Hailey was accused of shading Gomez, who dated Hailey’s husband, Justin Bieber, on and off for eight years until 2018.

In a new interview with ELLE, Gomez spoke up a little about suffering through heartbreak in public. “My lupus, my kidney transplant, chemotherapy, having a mental illness, going through very public heartbreaks—these were all things that honestly should have taken me down,” she said. “Every time I went through something, I was like, ‘What else? What else am I going to have to deal with?’”

“This song was inspired by many things that have happened in my life since releasing my last album. I thought it was important to share the music, as I know many can relate to the fact that the road to self-discovery generally comes through the scars in one’s life,” Gomez said in a statement at the time.
