Angelina Jolie was sighted for the first time after making the decision to join Instagram for a good cause.

On Monday, the 46-year-old actress went out in Beverly Hills wearing a stylish black dress and stilettos.

Only three days after her Instagram debut, Angelina Jolie spent part of her day at an office building. As she exited the building, the actress was seen wearing a long black dress that came down to her ankles and had long flared out sleeves, as well as tan shoes. Her long straight locks were down and parted in the center, and she wore a black face mask to complete the look.

She appeared to be in good spirits as she waved at a man wearing a black face mask and holding a takeout bag in her hand.

The actress had a brown handbag over one shoulder and looked to be holding an off-white bag in the other. She strolled by vehicles and was focused on her surroundings. Her daughter Zahara, 16, and a bodyguard were also allegedly there for the trip, though they were not photographed.

Angelina Jolie decided to put her celebrity to good use over the weekend, joining Instagram for the first time to raise awareness about the situation in Afghanistan.

With a sad message from a child in Afghanistan, the Girl, Interrupted star became the quickest person to earn 1 million followers on the social networking platform over the weekend.

In just three days, she has amassed an impressive 8.8 million followers.

Following the Taliban’s takeover of the nation, which has resulted in a human rights catastrophe, endangering the liberties of its citizens, particularly women, under Islamic extremism, Jolie chose to raise the voices of refugees.

‘Right now, the people of Afghanistan are losing the ability to communicate and express themselves freely on social media. That’s why I have come to Instagram to share their stories and the voices of those around the world who are fighting for their basic human rights,’ her caption read in the excerpt.

Angelina wrote a second piece regarding refugees and human rights in general. She invited her followers to follow in her footsteps by visiting the UN Refugee Agency’s account to learn more about how they can aid displaced people.

“I started working with displaced people because I believe passionately in human rights,” part of her caption for the post read. “Not out of charity, but out of a deep respect for them and their families, and all they continue to overcome, despite so much persecution, inequality and injustice.”

Angelia shared a devastating letter from an adolescent girl who described living in terror of the Taliban and seeing her rights erode under their reign, saying, “we think all our dreams are gone.”

‘We all used to go to work, school before the Taliban came. We all had rights, we were able to defend our rights freely, but when they came, we all fear them, and we feel like all our dreams are over.

‘We feel that our rights have been violated, we cannot get out. Studying at work is a long way off.

Angelina Jolie was photographed hugging several of her children, including her daughters Shiloh, 15, Zahara, and Vivienne, 13, outside of a Burbank hospital on the same day she inaugurated her Instagram page and posts. It’s unknown why she was there, but the arrival of her daughters seemed to make her pleased, as she flashed enormous smiles.

In the letter the teenager continued to say ‘…We have no rights the life of all of us is dark, we all lost our freedom and are imprisoned again.’

To safeguard her safety, some words of the letter were blacked out.

She garnered 2.1 million new followers in three hours, topping the four hours and 44 minutes of famous English broadcaster David Attenborough and the four hours and one minute of Harry Potter star Rupert Grint.
