The Duke and Duchess of Sussex resigned as senior members of the Royal Family last year and relocated to California in order to become financially independent. However, a royal expert claims that their failure to create their own press office was the deciding factor.

Prince Harry and Meghan Markle, like William and Kate at Kensington Palace, wanted to take charge of their media relations.

The Duke and Duchess of Sussex told Oprah Winfrey how they stepped down from their royal responsibilities after a barrage of bad news coverage, which they said the palace was involved in.

Last year, the Duke and Duchess of Sussex, 36 and 39, made a stunning announcement that they were leaving their life as senior royals to start again in the United States.

Camilla Tominey, a royal specialist, said in the ITV program “Harry and William: What Went Wrong?” ‘: “Rather than have their own press office established, the Duke and Duchess of Sussex were told that they would be incorporated into Buckingham Palace.

“It’s at that point that the Queen and Prince Charles sweep in and say no, we will manage your affairs.

“And in a way, that’s the final straw because once again the Sussexes are saying ‘why can’t we have what the Cambridges are having? We should be on equal footing’.”

Meghan said that she had suicide thoughts when pregnant due to the stress of negative news stories.

Ms Tominey also alleged that Harry attempted to ruffle feathers inside the Firm even before Meghan arrived.

She speculated that Harry was trying to “make his life count” before being pushed “further down the pecking order” by Prince William’s offspring.

The expert added: “There was a lot of talk, even before Meghan was on the scene, of Harry saying, ‘Why can’t I do this’? and “Why can’t we do it a bit differently?”

The so-called ‘Fab Four,’ meaning Harry, Meghan, Prince William, 39, and wife Kate, 39, announced in March 2019 that their homes will be divided.

The Sussexes relocated to Frogmore Cottage in Windsor, Berkshire, instead of living in a 21-bedroom apartment directly next door to William and Kate at Kensington Palace.

According to the documentary, the Duke and Duchess of Sussex had a falling out with the Duke of Cambridge over accusations Meghan had mistreated her employees.

The book Battle of Brothers says “William threw Harry out” of Kensington Palace due to the feud.

When Harry met Meghan, his desire to get things done increased, giving him “rocket fuel.”

Before announcing their move to the United States in 2020, the couple lived at the Frogmore cottage home for their son Archie’s first months.

The Sussexes were drawn to the house because it is located on the same grounds as Frogmore House, which hosted their nighttime wedding reception and provided the perfect backdrop for their beautiful engagement photos.

Meghan and Harry intended to establish their own home like William and Kate Middleton’s, according to former royal reporter Camilla Tominey.

Their pleas, she claimed, were turned down—not by their brother, but by Queen Elizabeth II and Prince Charles.

She speculated that Harry may have a “spare to the heir” mindset, leading him to desire to use his influence and perform excellent things.
