Jo Dobson of Hucclecote, Gloucester, has demanded that she be present for the July 1 inauguration of Princess Diana’s statue at Kensington Palace. Despite the fact that the palace has informed her that she is not invited, she has already arranged her schedule for the occasion.

The Princess Diana 60th birthday monument will be unveiled at Kensington Palace today, and the founder of the Diana Circle UK, plans to be there.

When the Princess died in a vehicle accident in 1997, she and others believed they had lost a member of their own family, she said.

She called the palace and was informed that the event is a private one for the royal family and that she is not permitted to attend.

“I have had the number 60 made from silk flowers which are pink and little pearls decorating them,” Dobson said to ITV, adding that she had already booked her trip to London.

“On Thursday I am getting picked up at about 7.30 a.m. by Dial a Ride and going to be dropped in Gloucester to get a National Express coach up to Kensington Palace. It has cost me £20 and the coaches are few and far between at the moment but I have to go up there,” she shared as she expressed her hope to be at the palace “before lunchtime around 11:00 a.m.”

She continued: “I telephoned the palace to see if the unveiling was still on and told them I was coming. But they told me it was a private matter and members of the public were not invited to attend.

“They are wrong. I am going. It is important that I am there. I am the founding member of the Diana Circle UK.”

Mrs. Dobson claims that Princess Diana’s 14-year butler, Paul Burrell, will not be invited to the memorial service.

Dobson also said that it is “is wrong” that Princess Diana’s former butler Paul Burrell was not invited to the installation of the monument after serving the princess for 14 years. She said that the late Princess of Wales was a family member to her and that “there will never be another Diana.”

However, the public is not permitted to attend the unveiling of Princess Diana’s statue. It will be a small gathering with just a few members of the Royal Family in attendance. Because of the epidemic, Prince Harry and William were allegedly compelled to reduce their guest list.

Ms Dobson, on the other hand, is determined to be there and has already prepared a floral arrangement for the memorial with 60 silk flowers, according to Gloucestershire Live.

She said: “I have had the number 60 made from silk flowers which are pink and little pearls decorating them.

“When Diana died it felt as if we had lost a family member of our own.

“There will never be another Diana.”

Prince Harry, Princess Diana’s son, came to the UK on Friday to witness the inauguration of the monument.

Stewart Pearce, Princess Diana’s vocal coach, told Insider that the presentation of the statue will be a moment of “healing” for Prince William and Prince Harry.
