On Thursday, Prince William and Prince Harry unveiled a new statue of their mother in Kensington Palace’s gardens. The event was significantly scaled back due to coronavirus restrictions. It was William and Harry’s first face-to-face meeting since their grandfather’s funeral in April, though they were only together for about an hour.

According to sources, there was no time to address the controversy sparked by Harry’s criticism of the Royal Family from the United States.

It is now reported that he will return to the UK in around 10 weeks to join 100 friends, family, and charity leaders for another memorial ceremony.

According to The Sun, the Duke of Sussex may be joined this time by his wife Meghan Markle.

Addressing William and Harry’s reunion, a source told The Sun that no ‘peace talks’ had taken place during Harry’s visit, but that they might take place in September.

“There were no peace talks, and the distance remains.

“It is a step forward but this was not the time or the place.”

“September is a date pencilled in for a more extensive celebration of the statue, and Harry will want to return.”

Meghan, who gave birth to a daughter last month, did not attend the unveiling.

According to reports, the September memorial will be confirmed this month.

The Sun reports that the proposed Diana memorial service in September will most likely take place at Kensington Palace.

Harry spent a week in the UK, the most of which was spent in government-mandated quarantine at Frogmore Cottage.

Harry and William appeared to have set aside their differences to honor their late mother, even sharing a glass of bubbly after the event.

During his visit, Harry is also likely to have had a short meeting with his grandmother, the Queen.

Harry, who, like Meghan, stood down as a senior royal more than a year ago, seemed in good spirits throughout the event, which saw him reunited with many members of his mother’s family.

His chauffeur-driven VW people carrier was treated like a VIP, driving right onto the runway at Heathrow minutes before a 5 p.m. departure back to Los Angeles – the first non-stop American Airlines aircraft out of the UK.
