Meghan Markle’s entrance into The Firm ‘upset’ people from the start, according to royal observers.

Royal historian Penny Junor says palace sources informed her that the Duchess of Sussex was “not as charming as she seemed.”

“I was hearing very bad stories from early on that Meghan was upsetting people,” she said in the ITV documentary Harry & William: What Went Wrong?

“She was not as charming as she seemed.”

“Our Royal Family are not celebrities. They are working members of a public institution,” the royal scribe opined. “I was appalled by the Oprah interview. These are not statements that should be made for public consumption. This is the sort of thing that should happen in the privacy of a psychiatrist’s couch.”

Meanwhile, Robert Lacey, another royal writer, said that Prince William suspected Meghan Markle of having a hidden agenda from the start of her relationship with Prince Harry.

‘Someone close to William told me William felt from an early stage that Meghan had an agenda,’ Lacey claimed on the ITV show.

The pair left the Royal Family and started a new life in the United States before shocking the establishment with startling allegations in an Oprah appearance earlier this year.

They accused the royal family of racism and failing to respond to Markle’s requests for assistance.

Junor went on to criticize the Sussexes’ publicization of their feud with the royal family.

‘Harry and Meghan’s approach is not just Californian, it’s showbiz-y, celebrity. Our Royal Family are not celebrities. They are working members of a public institution.

‘I was appalled by the Oprah interview. These are not statements that should be made for public consumption. This is the sort of thing that should happen in the privacy of a psychiatrist’s couch,’ she said.

According to a recent story from The Sun, Prince William was the one who determined in March 2019 that he and Prince Harry needed to “split” their homes. According to the article, the decision was taken when Markle’s former communications secretary filed a “bullying” complaint against her in 2018.

A storm of controversy arose when Omid Scobie, the Duke and Duchess of Sussex’s biographer, claimed palace officials informed journalists about William’s worries about Harry’s state of mind.

He has been a vocal supporter of the Duchess of Sussex, telling the show that she came into the Royal family “driven and ready to work,” which ruffled some feathers.

“She’s a woman well into her 30s: I think she’s proven to herself and the people she’s worked with up until that point that she knows what she’s doing,” he said.

“She was certainly not someone who was going to change herself just to please the people around her.

“I felt they also had to be reminded: ‘You’re not the stars of the show here. There is a hierarchy and you don’t come very high in it’.”

Mr Lacey claims in his book that Prince William was enraged by Meghan’s “merciless” treatment of workers, referring to her as “that bloody woman”

The bullying allegations are categorically denied by Markle’s team.

Lacey said in a new Battle of Brothers edition that royal insiders close to the Duke of Cambridge have warned Meghan may be a ‘500% nightmare.’

It comes amid rumors that Prince Harry would visit the UK shortly for another Princess Diana memorial service.
