Queen endorsed Harry’s TV series after misleading pitch about soldiers’ mental health

“The Me You Can’t See” is a series produced by Prince Harry and Oprah Winfrey, focuses on mental health topics. According to The Daily Mail, the Queen approved Price Harry’s inclusion in the series but had no clue he would accuse the Royal Family of “total neglect.”

“Those around the queen and Prince Charles are absolutely gobsmacked by what has happened,” a source close to Buckingham Palace told DailyMail, adding, “It is a question of trust, and honestly, any of that is hanging by a thread at the moment.”

“No one within the Palace circles has anything but sympathy for Harry’s trauma and troubled life, but there is upset and discomfort at him sharing it on an international television show.

“Certainly the intimate detail of his hardships paint a very negative picture of his family and upbringing. Many people have a different view.”

The series was apparently discussed by Harry with the Queen and Meghan’s father, Thomas.

According to a source close to The Queen, she granted Harry her “blessing” for the documentary in 2018 – although she had understood it would focus on military veterans receiving appropriate mental health care upon their return to civilian life.

According to the insider, the show’s basic concept and description were then “pushed to the side,” with Harry instead opting to launch a “attack on his father and childhood.”

“It has sent seismic tremors out everywhere,” the insider said. “Harry has the freedom to speak up for his truth, sure, but there has always been an understanding of accountability.”

In the series, Prince Harry implied that his father, Prince Charles, had allowed his children to “suffer.” and he also blamed the monarchy and the British media. accusing him of seeking to defame his wife, Meghan Markle.

During the series, Harry said that he witnessed his mother crying while driving him and Prince William through paparazzi-infested neighborhoods. He also remembered her burial, when he met people who were mourning her loss.

He said: ‘It was like I was … showing one tenth of the emotion that everybody else was showing. I was just – this is my mum, you never even met her.’
