Piers Morgan may be returning to TV for Meghan Markle

Piers Morgan was never going to remain silent for long. When walking off the air and leaving his comfortable Good Morning Britain position in March after co-anchor Alex Beresford called out his incessant Meghan Markle hatred, the controversial TV personality may be making a comeback.

Meghan Markle, according to Piers Morgan, would have cheered his untimely exit from Good Morning Britain.

The TV anchor, 56, resigned from his six-year career on GMB after doubting that Meghan, 39, had been denied aid after informing the palace she was suicidal.

“Well, I am sure she had a wonderful, joyous series of venti latte celebrations or crystal bashing, whatever they do over there,” Piers told the Daily Mail of his exit from the ITV breakfast show.

“I’m sure she did and that’s fine. I’ve no problem with that.’

He added: “She thinks she’s beaten me? She might be in for a surprise, because I suspect I’ll be back soon. And my views certainly haven’t changed.

“If Meghan thinks she has cancelled me or won the battle, she is in for a big shock. I’ve never been more popular.”

According to Morgan (so take this with a grain of salt), ITV’s morning programme has suffered a ratings drop since his departure. He claims to The Sun that the network has “reached out” to him about returning to the show in order to bring it back to the top. Morgan, of course, went to the press to talk about it. It’s not a formal offer, but he says he’s had “some quite random third-party feelers” wondering whether he’d “consider a return to the show.” We believe Morgan is letting his old network know very publicly that he is eager to return to the job because he is remorseful (sort of).

Meghan appears in Harry’s TV series

The Me You Can’t See is a star-studded mental health documentary series presented by the Duke of Sussex and Oprah Winfrey.

The series’ trailer, which features a number of celebrities, including Harry and Winfrey, opening out about their mental health challenges, was released on Monday, ahead of its launch on Applet+ on Friday, May 21.

The series is produced by Harry and Oprah, and was shot by four-time BAFTA Award-winning filmmaker Asif Kapadia, who also directed Amy, a film about singer Amy Winehouse.

Meghan, 39, has two brief cameos in the teaser. In one, she stands behind her husband, sporting a T-shirt that says “raising the future” by Mere Sour, a female-run small company whose t-shirts the Duchess has previously worn.

The other is previously seen footage of Meghan, who is expecting her second child, a girl, with the couple’s two-year-old son Archie.
