On Sunday, the Duke and Duchess of Sussex announced the birth of their daughter, which will no sure excite royal admirers. The couple has given their baby daughter the names Lilibet Diana Mountbatten-Windsor, which pay homage to her great-grandmother and late grandmother.

But don’t hold your breath for a photo of Prince Harry and Meghan Markle’s baby daughter.

The world will have to wait a little longer to see Lilibet “Lili” Diana, who was born on June 4 in California, according to royal journalist Omid Scobie.

Scobie, a close friend of Harry and Meghan’s, tweeted, “The couple, who will not be sharing a photo at this time, are now on parental leave. For those asking about sending gifts, Harry and Meghan have asked wellwishers to support or learn about the following women-focused orgs: @girls_inc @Camfed @MynaMahila and @HarvestHomeLA.”

While there is no word on when photos of Lili will be released, one royal expert believes it will be in favor of one or more charities near to the Duke and Duchess’ hearts.

“I think it very likely that Harry and Meghan will release a photo or photos of Lili to the world’s press in a way which will benefit one or more of the charitable causes they espouse,” Richard Fitzwilliams told Express.co.uk.

“Their weeks of leave is certain to exclude certain charitable activities if they see a chance to promote causes they support.”

Meghan and Harry stood down as senior working members of the royal family last year and migrated to the United States.

Since then, the couple has taken a more cautious approach to publicizing photos of their young family.

They’ve never displayed Lilibet’s elder brother Archie’s face; even in their most recent photo of the toddler, taken on his second birthday, Archie is looking away from the camera, gazing up at the balloons he’s clutching.

They are no longer under the same pressure to share images and information since they are no longer senior royals.

They took two days to announce their daughter’s birth to the world, so they’re not going to rush to publish her first pictures either.

When Archie was born in 2019, the royal couple waited two days before introducing him to the world at St George’s Hall at Windsor Castle.

“It’s magic. It’s pretty amazing. I have the two best guys in the world so I’m really happy,” Meghan told reporters at the time.

She said of Archie, “He has the sweetest temperament; he’s really calm” before Harry remarked, “I don’t know who he gets that from.”
