Queen Elizabeth is a private person who follows the motto “never complain, never explain.” As a result, determining how she feels about different members of the royal family is complicated. Meghan, Duchess of Sussex, is one of the most controversial members of the royal family.

Although some think Her Majesty gets along well with Meghan, sources say she had reservations about her “behavior and attitude” years ago.

The monarch’s exceptional interference came amid heated talks over Meghan’s outfit.

According to royal accounts, Meghan requested an emerald-set tiara at first. But  The future Duke and Duchess of Sussex were disappointed to learn that her first preference was unlikely because no one knew where it came from.

Though Her Majesty may have liked Meghan at first, she is said to have had reservations about some of her behavior.

Meghan had a squabble with palace employees before her wedding, according to royal writer Dan Wootton, who reported for The Sun in 2018. The future duchess apparently “had her heart set” on a particular tiara and “reacted poorly” when she was denied it.

Wootton wrote, “There was a very heated exchange that prompted the Queen to speak to [Prince] Harry. She said, ‘Meghan cannot have whatever she wants. She gets what tiara she’s given by me’… The message from the Queen was very much Meghan needed to think about how she speaks to staff members and be careful to follow family protocols.”

Her Majesty also warned Harry about Meghan’s “behavior and attitude,” according to Wootton.

A book by reporter Robert Jobson reveals Harry told staff before the wedding: “What Meghan wants, Meghan gets.”

Meghan, 37, did, finally, wear a diamond and platinum headpiece selected by the Queen.

“Meghan had her heart set on this tiara with emeralds and Prince Harry hit the roof when they were told it was impossible for her to wear it,” a royal source said.

“The provenance of the tiara could not be established. There were concerns it could have come from Russia originally.

“There was a very heated exchange that prompted the Queen to speak to Harry. She said, ‘Meghan cannot have whatever she wants. She gets what tiara she’s given by me’.

“The Queen also questioned why Meghan needed a veil for the wedding, given it was to be her second marriage.

“The message from the Queen was very much Meghan needed to think about how she speaks to staff members and be careful to follow family protocols.”

Even as Harry and Meghan were in love and had a whirlwind courtship, some of their friends and family members did not think what they did was a smart idea. The pair allegedly disregarded advice from friends and relatives.

According to the book Finding Freedom, Harry’s brother, Prince William, and a childhood friend called Tom Inskip all advised Harry not to take Meghan too seriously too soon.

Meanwhile, Meghan’s former agent, Gina Nelthorpe-Cowne, warned her that becoming a princess would be difficult.

However, Harry and Meghan ignored these warnings, as the pair married after just two years of dating.

Meghan Markle was given a ‘royal master class’ by Queen Elizabeth.

Meghan Markle has been chastised for tossing the royal family under the bus.

Omid Scobie and Carolyn Durand, co-authors of their biography, made the claim.

“The Queen was wonderful, warm, and generous towards the new Duchess,” a source close to Her Majesty said, according to the Express.

“She made sure Meghan knew what was going on and made her feel very much at home because it was her first trip. Indeed, before the two stepped off the train, the Queen gifted Meghan with a delicate pair of pearl-and-diamond earrings.”

“Meghan, an avid learner studying all she could on royal protocol, was often seen carrying binders full of research so she didn’t put a foot wrong.”

“That day was different though; she was getting a royal masterclass in training from the Queen herself,” they concluded.
