Meghan Markle and Buckingham Palace may have a “brutal showdown” amid accusations that she “bullied staff”

According to a source close to the independent investigation, the Duchess of Sussex has requested a point-by-point analysis of the accusations and is “adamant the staff were not up to their job.”

According to the Mirror, “at least 10” former palace employees are willing to testify before the investigation.

They are reported to be “queueing up” to inform the legal team about their experiences.

According to The Mirror, Meghan has yet to be officially questioned about allegations that she created a “toxic” work environment at Kensington Palace.

An independent law firm was hired in March to undertake a “review” of working procedures.

Its results were supposed to be revealed in the annual Sovereign Grant report, which was due to be released on Wednesday, but the investigation is “ongoing” and may be postponed until next year.

“The feeling is this is heading for a brutal showdown between the Duchess of Sussex who is understood to be disputing all allegations labelled against her,” a close insider told the Mirror.

“The Palace is taking each and every allegation very seriously and wants to get to the truth of the matter and ensure those speaking up deserve to be heard.

“But Meghan is adamant the staff were not up to their job and could not deal with the pressure of working for her and understanding how she wanted things to run.”

The new discovery comes after a series of startling allegations in a revised edition of renowned royal historian Robert Lacey’s book Battle of Brothers.

According to the book, William thought Meghan was a “hostile” to the royal system and may have intended to leave the monarchy and return to America from the start.

The royal author wrote that Prince William “threw Harry out” after a heated argument about bullying allegations.

It apparently followed a heated phone conversation in which the Duke of Sussex allegedly hung up on his brother.

The dispute erupted when Jason Knauf, who worked in communications for both the Cambridges and the Sussexes, sent an official email outlining bullying accusations in October 2018.

Meghan reportedly snapped, “it’s not my job to coddle people” after her “difficult demands” left staffers in tears and humiliated.

Mr Kauf said that the duchess’ alleged conduct of employees was “totally unacceptable” adding that she “seems intent on always having someone in her sights”

According to Robert, the Duchess of Sussex “shouted” and “humiliated” workers at work meetings.

Meghan “governed by fear” throughout her time as a senior royal.

“Meghan governed by fear,” a courtier cited in the book allegedly stated.

“So many people said it. Nothing was ever good enough for her.

“[She] humiliated staff in meetings, [would] shout at them and [would] cut them off email chains.

The courtier further stated that the Duchess would still “demand to know why they hadn’t done anything” after this.

A Kensington Palace courtier reportedly said, ‘Meghan portrayed herself as the victim, but she was the bully. People felt run over by her. They thought she was a complete narcissist and sociopath — basically unhinged .’

The book also claims that William believed Meghan had a “agenda” and had expressed his concerns to Harry before to their engagement, but that the fight after Meghan and Harry’s vacation to Australia in 2018 cemented his decision to separate their homes.

It exacerbated the brothers’ profound rift, which royal insiders claim remains to this day, despite the Princes agreeing to a ceasefire ahead of their meeting next Thursday to unveil a monument of their late mother, Princess Diana, at Kensington Palace.
