Meghan Markle and Prince Harry spent their third anniversary alone at home, according to rumors.

Meghan Markle and Prince Harry did not have a good anniversary celebration, Life & Style reports, because not many people greeted them. The outlet also claims that no one had given them flowers, so it was simply another average day.

To make matters worse, the Duke and Duchess of Sussex apparently believed that Princess Beatrice’s pregnancy news overshadowed their anniversary.

According to a source, Prince Harry and Markle can’t help but believe that everyone in the royal family is distancing themselves from him and his wife.

“Harry spent his anniversary trying to remind himself what he learned in therapy. To focus on being happy and not let the negativity get to him and Meghan,” a source told Micky.com.au.

Royals snubbed, overshadowed Meghan & Harry’s wedding anniversary

Meghan Markle and Prince Harry celebrated their third wedding anniversary on Wednesday. The British royal family, including Harry’s own brother, father, and grandmother, made a point of ignoring the Duke and Duchess of Sussex by dominating the news cycle with their own announcements.

On May 19, 2018, the couple married in a lavish ceremony. They’ve faced constant press since then, made a dramatic departure from the royal house, relocated to the United States in the midst of a pandemic, and welcomed their son Archie, with a second baby on the way.

Normally, family members would pay tribute to each other on social media, as they did when Prince William and Kate Middleton celebrated their 10th wedding anniversary on April 29.

On the Royal Family and Clarence House pages, Queen Elizabeth II and Prince Charles with his companion, Camilla, the Duchess of Cornwall, respectively, expressed their congratulations to the couple. None were made for Prince Harry and Meghan Markle, though, according to royal watchers.

On the same day, the royals caused four major news stories: Princess Beatrice, Harry’s cousin, declared her first pregnancy; Kate Middleton, Harry’s sister-in-law, held a high-profile function at the Victoria and Albert Museum; Prince Charles and Camilla, Duchess of Cornwall continued their two-day tour of Northern Ireland; and the Palace told royal reporters that Kate and Prince William would be touring Scotland. That’s a lot of royal news for a family that prefers to spread out celebrations and updates so that each family member has their turn in the spotlight.

In a press conference, Prince William and Kate Middleton revealed that they will be taking a royal tour of Scotland. They also retweeted a video of the Duke of Cambridge introducing two new members of The Earthshot Prize Council and shared the thrilling news of the reopening of museums in the United Kingdom.

The timing of the royal baby announcement, according to Royal author Duncan Larcombe, was “no accident”

“The fact it was Buckingham Palace that made the announcement proves this was not a simple oversight,” he told Fabulous magazine.

“A great deal of care is taken over the timings of major announcements such as royal pregnancies, and it is extremely unlikely diary staff were unaware of the significance of the day for Harry and Meghan.”

According to social media users, the declaration is a slap in the face to Meghan Markle and Prince Harry, who announced their pregnancy on Princess Eugenie’s wedding day. “Meghan getting a taste of her own medicine. Love it,” one Twitter user observed.

On their anniversary, Harry and Meghan did post some news that had to contend for media attention with everything else: They revealed on Archewell that they are collaborating with World Central Kitchen to establish a community relief center in India to assist the country in dealing with the catastrophic coronavirus epidemic.

For the first time in years, Harry and Meghan’s wedding signaled a new beginning for the family, when they welcomed a mixed-race royal in-law.

But, with their young boy, the Sussexes left Britain for North America just 18 months later.

While they have always acknowledged Meghan, Harry, and Archie’s birthdays with grid messages, Clarence House and the Cambridges’ Instagram accounts have never shared about Meghan and Harry’s anniversary.

However, before the pair stepped down from their senior royal family positions in January 2020, the Royal Family account did publish an anniversary post for Meghan and Harry…in 2019.

After a discreet proposal, Harry declared his engagement to the former Suits actress in November 2017. Their star-studded reception took place in St George’s Chapel at Windsor Castle in 2018, with millions of people tuning in from all around the world to watch them exchange vows.

On May 6, 2019, the couple welcomed their son Archie Harrison Mountbatten-Windsor into the world.

Harry declared his son “absolutely to die for” and said he was “over the moon” only hours after his birth.
