Prince Charles, 72, and Camilla have been married for over 15 years, but their marriage has been tainted by their notorious scandal when the royal was still married to Princess Diana.

Prince Wales will become king as the first in line to the throne, although many Britons are opposed to Camilla being Queen, as is customary for a King’s wife.

According to a YouGov poll conducted on April 21-22 among 1,730 UK adults, only 14% believe Camilla should become Queen when Prince Charles becomes King.

This was a 1% increase from the last time Britons were polled on the subject, which was on November 21-22, 2019.

Just over a quarter of respondents (26%) believed Camilla should have no title at all, down from 30% in the previous poll.

Camilla should be known as Princess Consort, according to almost half of those polled (44%).

Camilla, Duchess of Cornwall’s son admits he’s not sure whether his mother will ever be called “Queen.”

Tom Parker-Bowles, Camilla’s son, has spoken out on whether his mother will ever be referred to as queen.

Although Camilla, Duchess of Cornwall, is supposed to sit on the British throne alongside Prince Charles one day, it might not be as “Queen Camilla.”

Parker-Bowles told The Sunday Times on Thursday, “I honestly don’t know if Mum will be called queen.”

“That hasn’t been decided. There are a lot of interesting Sky documentaries about that I’m sure, but I honestly don’t know if that’s true.”

Camilla’s future title has been a source of contention since her 2005 engagement to Prince Charles.

“It is intended that Mrs. Parker Bowles should use the title HRH The Princess Consort when The Prince of Wales accedes to The Throne.” said a press release at the time.

But, sixteen years later, it is generally assumed that Camilla will become Queen Consort after Charles is crowned king, though Buckingham Palace has yet to confirm this.

The question of whether Camilla will ever be queen was deleted from the FAQ section of Prince Charles’ official website some years ago, re-igniting the debate.

Regardless, Clarence House said that no modifications had been made.

Clarence House retaliated when media reports surfaced last year that Camilla will be The Queen Consort.

“The intention is for the Duchess to be known as Princess Consort when the Prince accedes to the throne,” they said in a statement. “This was announced at the time of the marriage and there has been absolutely no change at all.”

Camilla has remained silent on the topic.

In the wide-ranging interview, Tom, 46, also discussed his mother’s portrayal in season four of The Crown, which saw a young Camilla and Charles have a romantic – if complicated – relationship behind his new bride, Princess Diana.

The web series also follows his father, Andrew Parker-Bowles, who is seen having a romantic relationship with Princess Anne. Tom, however, disputes this portrayal. “The Crown is beautifully filmed and beautifully acted but complete bollocks mostly,” he told The New York Times. “I saw a bit with my dad and thought, ‘God, you’ve got him wrong,’ but I would say that, wouldn’t I?”

During the interview, Tom also mentioned how close he is to the royal family. According to The Times, his children refer to Camilla as “Gaga” and Prince Charles as “Umpa”.
