As word spreads about Jennifer Lopez and Ben Affleck’s secret “alone” holiday last week, E! and TMZ have obtained new information from insiders about how long Bennifer’s second coming has been in the works.

TMZ reports that Affleck has been emailing Lopez since February. Lopez, according to E! News, is eager to give her relationship with Affleck another shot.

“She was always obsessed with Ben,” a source close to both Affleck and Lopez told The Post. “They have always loved each other.”

Affleck and Lopez were a match made in tabloid heaven in 2002. She was the glam puss of New York. He was a quiet Bostonian who enjoyed baseball, beer, and poker.

Affleck and Lopez met on the set of “Gigli,” in which Affleck plays a hitman and Lopez plays an assassin assigned to keep him in line.

Around this time, Lopez’s split with Rodriguez was first confirmed, but both A-Rod and J.Lo refuted it and attempted to sort out their differences. Lopez eventually ended their relationship, which the two revealed to the public in mid-April.

Ben and Lopez could rekindle their romance, according to their fans, as the singer’s relationship with Alex Rodriguez has reportedly deteriorated in recent weeks.
