Celebrities may live lives that are very different from the average person’s, but they do occasionally go to Target. Angelina Jolie and her 12-year-old son Knox were shopping at the chain store yesterday, and a photographer filmed her arriving at the Los Angeles store.

The 45-year-old Maleficent actress wore an open black cloak that came down to her ankles. She was dressed in a simple black blouse, cigarette trousers, heeled ankle boots, and, of course, a protective face mask to match. Knox was dressed in a graphic shirt, sneakers, and jeans, as if he were a regular 12-year-old.

Knox Jolie-Pitt was observed wheeling the shopping cart on their January 24 trip to the supermarket, and he looked all grown up. The preteen is now the spitting image of his famous father, Brad Pitt, even when wearing a protective face mask.

During the quarantine, the actress has been spending time with her six children Maddox, 19, Pax, 17, Zahara, 16, Shiloh, 14, and 12-year-old twins Knox and Vivienne at home, and the three-time Golden Globe winner has been photographed taking her kids out of the house to help her do errands.

Maddox is a student at Yonsei University in South Korea, where he took virtual classes during the spring semester of 2020. Because Jolie keeps her family’s lives private, it’s unclear if Maddox attended classes in person or through video chat during the fall semester. However, in August, Entertainment Tonight claimed that Maddox was still taking virtual classes.

Jolie confirmed his remote participation in an interview with Extra that same month, stating, “He had to stay back from Korea. He’s going online [for classes], and so I think he starts at 6 p.m. at night.”

The six Jolie-Pitt children are frequently spotted shopping with their mother in Los Angeles, both as a group and individually. A source close to Angelina Jolie told HollywoodLife EXCLUSIVELY that it’s all about Angelina attempting to restore a feeling of “normalcy” to the lives of two A-listers’ children. Angelina Jolie doesn’t let the paparazzi influence where her kids go or don’t go, whether it’s to high-end department shops or to the local craft shop.

According to the insider, Angelina “really strives to make their lives as normal as she can.” “Going shopping is something that she and her kids enjoy doing together, and she feels strongly that her kids should have all the experiences that other kids their age have. She doesn’t want them growing up in a bubble.”

After dating since 2005, Jolie and Pitt married in August of 2014, before filing for divorce in September of 2016.

In August, Jolie spoke to E! about her experiences quarantining her six children. “You know, I’ve never been one who valued relaxation. I like chaos,” she said.

Her children have made appearances when she has been in virtual work meetings, she noted. “I’ve been on high level meetings where there’s dogs and balls and kids and things,” she said. “You kind of just enjoy being human with everybody else and laughing through it.”  “Lots of popcorn and just like really every family, we’re just pajamas, robes, snacks,” she added of how they unwind during movie evenings.

Pitt and his three biological children, Shiloh, Knox, and Vivienne, are said to have spent Christmas Eve together (Maddox, Pax and Zahara were adopted).

Last month, a source told Us Weekly that the exes’ ‘egos have once again derailed’ plans to spend the holidays together as a family.
