Following her and husband David’s attendance at both of their royal weddings, Victoria Beckham may be facing a social dilemma over whether to invite the ‘feuding’ Cambridges and Sussexes to her son Brooklyn’s wedding.

Brooklyn Beckham announced his engagement to Nicola Peltz, a US actress, in July, and it is believed that both couples were invited to the star-studded wedding by Victoria Beckham.

Victoria, 46, is said to be good friends with Meghan Markle, 39. The Duchess of Sussex is also frequently seen wearing Victoria Beckham clothing, indicating her close relationship with the former Spice Girl. She is, however, clearly a long-time friend of the Cambridges, having attended their wedding almost a decade ago.

Victoria is now working on the guest list for her son Brooklyn’s wedding to actress Nicola Peltz in 2022, as a social dilemma looms. Given rumours of a dispute between the two brothers, she is concerned about how Prince Harry and Prince William and their wives will get along.

Brooklyn, 21, has postponed his wedding until 2022 in the hopes that the pandemic will not disrupt his preparations, with the photographer planning two events, both in Florida and in the Cotswolds to cater for both families. Nicola, 25, is the daughter of US tycoon Nelson Peltz.

It is unknown whether or not invitations or save-the-dates have been sent to possible attendees. Both the Cambridges and the Sussexes attended the Commonwealth Day ceremony at Westminster Abbey in March of this year, where Meghan wore a stunning green gown and Kate wore a deep crimson gown. Given the postponement of Brooklyn’s wedding, there should be enough time to mend any rumored split between the royal couples so that they may both attend without any difficulties.

The two couples — who previously comprised the “Fab Four” — were photographed and videotaped avoiding eye contact during the occasion. The Duke and Duchess of Sussex did not speak to the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge at any point throughout the occasion.

There have been rumours of a rift between the princes since then, with one royal expert recently predicting that their shattered relationship will ‘never’ be mended until they divorce their wives.

According to a royal insider who talked to US Weekly at the time, “Harry misses his brother and Kate, but there’s too much mud under the bridge at this point for any meaningful communication. They’re cordial, but that’s about as far as it goes.”

Following the Duke of Sussex’s choice to move away from royal life with his wife Meghan, Majesty Magazine editor-in-chief Ingrid Seward told the Mirror’s Pod Save The Queen podcast that she believes the damage to the brothers’ bond is irreversible.

“I think perhaps if something happened to Catherine or Meghan, the boys would be together again. But as long as their ladies are there and their families are there… If there was an awful tragedy it would bring them together, but otherwise, I don’t think that relationship will be mended. But that is a really personal point of view and I might not be right.”

Meanwhile, Robert Lacey, a renowned royal historian and consultant to the television show The Crown, said Meghan and Kate see one other as “cool professionals.”

He told The Daily Mail: ‘Meghan and Kate actually got on rather well from the start. They might not be best-buddy material, but they found themselves, sister-outsiders in their extraordinary royal situation, and both of them cool professionals, treating each other with mutual respect.

‘Each was far too canny to make an enemy of a prospective sister-in-law – it only made sense to be friends.

‘The fundamental conflict was between the two males who had known each other all their lives and had never hesitated to tell each other exactly what they thought and felt.’
