After his first non-MCU picture in six years, Dolittle, failed at the box office, actor Robert Downey Jr is prepared to accept a salary cut to return to the Marvel Cinematic Universe, sources claim.

According to reports, Robert wants to collaborate with his protégé Tom Holland, nicknamed Spiderman, and his co-star Gwyneth Paltrow on a project. For the uninitiated, Robert initially starred in the first-ever MCU film, Iron Man, in 2008, and his character was killed off in Avengers: Endgame in 2019.

Robert Downey Jr.’s appearance as Iron Man in the film Black Widow is ‘all but guaranteed,’ according to rumors. Due to the terrible breakout of the COVID-19 epidemic, the picture Black Widow, starring Scarlet Johansson, was recently pulled from Disney’s release schedule.

According to reports, the film is a prequel that shows what happened before Captain America: Civil War and what happened after Captain America: The Winter Soldier.

Dolittle was hampered by production issues, grossing just over $200 million worldwide against an estimated budget of $175 million. “Dolittle bombing spectacularly at the box office in the wake of awful reviews has seen the actor become more reasonable when it comes to the financial terms of a new contract and he’s open to accepting less money for a return now,” sources reveal.

For the last Avengers picture, the actor allegedly made more than $50 million. And Spider-Man: Far From Home had a far lower budget than Spider-Man: Homecoming, owing to the absence of Robert Downey Jr. from the sequel.
