Miley Cyrus has moved on from her brief marriage to actor Liam Hemsworth and is now ready to laugh about it.

The pair celebrated their vegan wedding in December at her Tennessee home, with the 27-year-old wearing a Vivienne Westwood gown.

Miley Cyrus made fun of her eight-month marriage in the comments of an Instagram post by The Most Famous Artist, which is operated by Matty Mo, on Friday.

Matty had changed his Instagram bio to read, “Getting married to @mileycyrus in 2020.” Mo, who is best known for founding the art collective The Most Famous Artist, captioned a screenshot of the update on his Instagram page, “Upping my manifestation game for 2020 and putting this out there — @mileycyrus.”

‘It probably won’t last long [engagement ring emoji],’ Cyrus commented. ‘But always down to try, you miss 100 per cent of the shots you don’t take.’

Miley and Liam decided to take the next major step in their love and married in December 2018 after a long on-again, off-again romance. While many hoped that the pair would reunite for good, their marriage did not survive and they divorced after only eight months of marriage.

In an August 10 statement to Us Weekly, Liam’s agent said, “Liam and Miley have agreed to separate at this time. Ever-evolving, changing as partners and individuals, they have decided this is what’s best while they both focus on themselves and careers. They still remain dedicated parents to all of their animals they share while lovingly taking this time apart. Please respect their process and privacy.”

In an Instagram post following their breakup, Hemsworth wished his ex-wife “health and happiness,” adding, “This is a private matter and I have not made, nor will I be making, any comments to any journalists or media outlets.”

Following their separation, Miley had a quick affair with Kaitlynn before starting a relationship with Australian singer Cody Simpson, 22.

Since then, the two have been taking the internet by storm with their steamy social media posts from their PDAs. Cody even went to a charity event with Miley, where he met her father Billy Cyrus, and the three of them ended up jamming together. Cody joined his girlfriend’s father in performing Old Town Road, one of Billy’s classic tunes. His mother, Angie Simpson, was also there for the ceremony.

Since then, Liam has been photographed with Brown and, most recently, model Gabriella Brooks.
