The latest teaser for Tom Hardy’s upcoming TV drama Taboo has been published, and it features the handsome actor entirely naked!
The 39-year-old actor, who is also executive producing the eight-part BBC program, offered fans a sneak peek at what’s to come.
He is seen crouching down in the buff, revealing his tribal tattoos in all their splendor.
Tom will be shown in the buff throughout the next season, which comes as no surprise given that he was seen totally naked while filming the show about a year ago.
Tom could be seen walking about in nothing but his birthday suit, getting into character before swimming into a frigid lake.
Fortunately, a team was prepared to wrap him in blankets as soon as the filming was through.
Hardy plays James Keziah Delaney, a man who comes to London from Africa to retrieve what is rightfully his following his father’s death.
Director of programming Charlotte Moore claimed during the show’s premiere that Taboo will begin the channel’s “reinvention” of Saturday TV.
“We’re going to play with formats, create new slots across the week and on Saturdays, we’re already piloting some exciting new shows,” she said.
The drama is set in 1814 and is based on a narrative written by Hardy and his father, Chips Hardy.
Taboo premieres on FX in the United States on January 10 and on BBC in the United Kingdom on January 10.
