In a recent interview, Jennifer Lawrence discusses her weight, saying that she will never go hungry for a role.

Lawrence, 22, who portrays famished Katniss Everdeen in the life-or-death thriller series, told Elle magazine in an interview that will be published on November 13 that losing weight is not in her script.

“I’m never going to starve myself for a part … I don’t want little girls to be like, ‘Oh, I want to look like Katniss, so I’m going to skip dinner.’ That’s something I was really conscious of during training, when you’re trying to get your body to look exactly right. I was trying to get my body to look fit and strong – not thin and underfed,” the 22-year-old actress said.

It’s Hollywood mythology to suffer for a role by suddenly losing or gaining weight.

Natalie Portman was praised for losing 20 pounds for her Oscar-winning performance as a dancer in “Black Swan” in 2010. For  the 1980 boxing picture “Raging Bull,” Robert De Niro won an Oscar after gaining 60 pounds.

Lawrence also discusses her relationship with her British actor boyfriend Nicholas Hoult throughout the conversation.

“[My boyfriend] is honestly my best friend, and hopefully I’m his best friend, too. He’s my favorite person and makes me laugh harder than anybody.’

‘We can eat Cheetos and watch beach volleyball and we turn into two perverted Homer Simpsons, like, “Oh, she’s got a nice ass.” I never thought we’d have such different opinions on asses,” Jennifer continues.

Lawrence, despite her fame, prefers to live a simple life.

“Ten million dollars and I’m still living in my parents’ condo I’ve always lived in a tiny rat-infested apartment in New York or a little condo in L.A., or a normal house in Kentucky,” she says. “I think it would be very bizarre to live in a big mansion by myself.”

Lawrence’s figure did not impede from the success of the first edition of the “Hunger Games” franchise, which was released in March and grossed $670 million worldwide. The actress has committed to three more sequels.
